Ode to Gemini Shade: Prince: Talented, Legendary & Shade Master

As the world, already knows, Prince is dead. He died about over a month ago from what appears to be an accidental drug overdose. Whatever the circumstances of his death are, the music world lost an extremely talented, vocal, SHADY and overall legendary musician. I am not going to run through all of his natal chart, but I will mention the key astrological features that make Prince, Prince.
To note I will also be framing this blog in the context of shade and showcasing his best shade moments. Coincidentally he was in the running for the Prince title of Gemini shade (lolz) for my Ode to Shade blog series. Sadly I wasn't expecting him to die anytime soon.
I was expecting him to be throwing shade at 90 while rolling around on his wheelchair. By the way this isn't meant to be a disrespect to Prince. Shade was his art form and a way to express himself. Shade isn't bad and shouldn't be taken as an offense. It shows intelligence (quick thinking, cleverness, & inventiveness) and the ability to laugh off anger/pain.

Let's get into his astrology. His astrotheme profile link here
He was born June 7th 1958 in Minneapolis, MN 6:17pm.

Scorpio Ascendant

I am usually skeptical of astrotheme's rising signs BUT I can see it in him. Private, secretive life, dark, intense eyes and a commanding presence. He simply moved and behaved like an Scorpio rising (or at least someone with Pluto in the 1st House).

Sun in Gemini in the 8th House
His sun in Gemini in the 8th House meant that SHADE was in his DNA. His ego (sun) is placed in a watery, emotional and frankly scary house. Intense, secretive, and deep; he was highly Plutonian. He wasn't the typical Gemini sun. Much more serious, grounded, and passionate Gemini sun.

He delve in conspiracy theories, battled his record company in court and pretty much took control of his image and his creative freedom. The sun is hidden but it's alive, rising to the surface ever so often to put a bitch in their place.

Pisces Moon in the 4th House
The fourth house is one of the most deepest and hidden parts of your natal chart. The fourth house is ruled by Cancer/the moon. So with Prince's Moon in Pisces here; it's domicile (at home here). It shows he was very sensitive, creative and emotional person deep inside. He kept that part hidden most of time.

This is strange and weirdly fitting that he had drug problems. I know that is weird statement. But Pisces placements especially moon in Pisces is known for escapism and drug use. His rival Michael Jackson had a Pisces moon too and also had a drug related death.

Mercury in Gemini/ Mercury square Pluto
This is where his geniusness like creativity, communicative abilities, and SHADE is most evident. Mercury in Gemini is a communicative air sign that is intelligent, fast-moving and clever. There is a dual quality to Gemini so they can appear good or bad at a toss of a coin. One minute Prince seems petty and insincere, the next noble and sincere. Shade is very much about using nonverbal skills as it is about verbal skills. No matter what form Gemini's HAVE to communicate.
He also has Mercury Square Pluto. Mercury square Pluto aspect people have biting, pointed, and powerful communication skills. There is power in his words when he chooses to use them. This is why a lot of people turn to shade; because they know the power of their words. So they have to be careful; they can make enemies out of friends and family. There is a constant battle between being authentic to one's self & keeping it real and saving face & not hurting people's feelings. Shade is a way to balance these things.

SHADE SMIRKING
Since he can't be the Prince of Shade, since he's already Prince. He is a shade connoisseur and aficionado. Here are some of his best shade moments.
