•      Unhealthy Oftentimes Co-Dependent Vampire Relationship:

•      Buffy creator Joss Whedon envisioned them to be the Sid and Nancy of the Vampire world. Dru in the show is styled as British Victorian mixed with 90s’ Heroin Chic look (think model Kate Moss in the 90s’). Spike with a punk rock look.

•      For the youngins’ Sid was a member of the British punk rock band, the Sex Pistols. He got into a crazy relationship with an American groupie named Nancy. They used drugs and were in a very codependent and abusive with each other. Nancy was found murdered in their hotel room and Sid was arrested for it. He died of a drug overdose while on bail awaiting trial. The events around their deaths are mysterious with some people close to them claiming they had made a suicide pact.

•      Drusilla evil, mad, hella crazy psychic psychotic vampire

•      Spike, evil hopeless romantic machismo aka an exaggerated masculinity.

•      Spike loved Dru in the only way a vampire can. He looked after her (get her blood, play along with her delusions, etc.) especially when Dru was in child-like states and she couldn’t help herself.

•      Dru broke up with him and left him for a Chaos demon because she felt he wasn’t demon enough for her and that he was in love with Buffy.

•      Astrology: Squared Moons. Opposite Rising Signs.
