theastrofiend Astrology: All About Venus in Leo

Venus is all about love and how we act in relationships. Venus is how we show love and what we find beautiful. Venus in Leo is quite an ok position for Venus to be in. Remember that Venus is exalted (very glorified) in Pisces who is ruled over by Neptune (the planet of illusions, dreams, magic and spirituality). Venus is in the Fall in Virgo and detriment in Aries and Scorpio. Leo is ruled by the Sun which rules over personality and ego among other things. Note: fire sign Venuses are traditionally not seen as the best Venus signs.

What a Venus in Leo find beautiful?
Venus in Leo finds mutual adoration, validation, attention, and the ability to feel special in a relationship, beautiful. Leo Venuses crave confident and esteemed people that are physically, mentally, financially, and emotionally expressive and receptive. If you are cheap emotionally and financially, too humble/shy, or not confident you are not worth any time to a Venus in Leo, so skrr skrr.

How Venus in Leo give and receive Love

Venus in Leo give love by showering you with affection, love, attention, gifts, and over the top romantic gestures.

Venus in Leo receive love via creative expression of love. Getting unique gifts, being pampered and spending time in a lavish and ritzy environments. Showering a Venus in Leo with compliments doesn't hurt either.

Venus in Leo is quite a nice position for Venus to be in. It’s not the best (considering how self-centered, forceful and selfabsorbed fire signs can be). Even so, it’s quite nice. Ruled by the Sun, this Leo Venus is naturally confident, playful, and filled with energy and warmth. Venus in Leo is a fun, affectionate position. This position is one of a native that wants to be loved (and admired) and to be romanced. Like the other Leo planet positions they want to be treated like royalty.

The Venus in Leo person will treat you like royalty in return so it’s not one sided, well most of the time. They are big romantics (not in sweet, emotional water sign, Pisces way) but in the humanly, ego conscious driven way. They are not the most self-less in relationships but they are big hearted and filled with warmness.

Downsides to Venus in Leo
The Venus in Leo ego needs to be stroked constantly and they are big at fishing for compliments. Venus in Leo also need more attention than average and can be quite dramatic if they don’t get it. They want to be one number one and they want to hear it all the time. Venus in Leo want the elaborate displays of affections, extravagant gifts, and constant declarations of love. This can lead to them being overly demanding and theatrical. The dramatics and being extra can get annoying after a while.

Venus in Leo can be superficial, vane and adverse to self reflection/introspection. Venus in Leo loves the image and status of someone, so the person they are interested in must be on their A game all the time. This person can-not be looking cheap and dressing like a bum for date night. Label whore

Venus in Leo has high confidence and gas themselves up to the point where they may think they are a lion when they are really are a stray cat. Too much confidence can make the Venus in Leo native arrogant, entitled, lazy and not try as hard.

Please note that Venus in Leo is also a fixed sign trait so they are known for jealously and possessiveness. This is due to their stubborn and proud nature that can be actually be quite sensitive (which sounds contradictory but it really isn't).

Best thing for a Venus in Leo to get over the downsides of their Venus is to do the internal work to truly love themselves and the people around them. Venus in Leo love is one of royalty and longevity and is quite an awesome, special, and glorious experience.

Leo Venus natives are optimists, and special lovers that expect the best in their partners and friends. You just have to be able to stand confidently in the spotlight with them

Gemini Prince of the Pluto in Scorpio Generation: Edward Snowden

This one was a no brainer. When I found out that famous whistle-blower/snitch, Edward Snowden was a Gemini with a Scorpio moon I knew I wanted to write about him in some way.
What he did was very Gemini and very Pluto in Scorpio (though his natal Pluto is in Libra). If don't know, what he did. He was a whistle-blower who took it upon himself to steal documents from his job (at the NSA aka National Security Agency) and leaked it to the media. He exposed  top US government secrets (such as the US government spying on its' citizens). Reference article here

Whatever the case let's get into his astrology. His astrotheme profile is linked here.

Super Gemini
His sun, ascendant, mars and mercury is in Gemini. Not only that but his mercury and mars (to remind you both in Gemini) are in the first house. This all makes him super Geminian/Mercurian. Incredibly smart, communicative, restless, curious (aka noisy), and changeable. This explains a lot. Him working for the NSA (an intelligence agency). Hellooo!!!! Intelligence/Gemini.

Random but he probably views himself as super villain, an antihero in this saga. The media has a whole bunch of Gemini antihero public figures and fuckboys/girl (hello Azealia Banks, Donald Trump, Kanye West, etc.)

Venus in Leo in the 3rd House
Viewing himself as a patriot and proud American. He felt compelled to acted on this in the most dramatic and theatrical way possible. This is fitting that his Venus in Leo, because they are all for the theatrics and drama. Not only that but Leos act with their hearts (and egos). Whatever his intentions are, he wanted the attention and to be known, and recognized. Venus in Leo in the 3rd house would make him proud and confident in his ideas and communication abilities. He would would love and see beauty/pleasure in communicating.

Pluto & Saturn in Libra in the 5th House
Pluto and Saturn are conjunct in Libra in the 5th House. The Saturn placement probably makes him serious and focused in relationships. I mean Libra is the sign of partnerships, but when placed in the 5th, it's like extra Libra. Relationships are important to him but there is also a pattern of feeling restricted/limited in relationships (it is in Saturn after all). He probably oftentimes found himself alone/being a loner and there is a bit of fear of being in relationships. Even if he did manage to get into relationships they were probably serious with a lot of hardships/lessons.
His Pluto in Libra in the 5th House placement is also a heavy one. There is a destruct to transform pendulum quality to relationships. When he manages to snag a relationship there is a dark, intense, controlling, and obsessive undertone to this relationship.

Scorpio moon in the 6th House
This is the meat in the sandwich. Scorpio moon is a powerful placement and it counteracts/conflicts with all of his Gemini and Sagittarius placements. If I were to use a drug to describe his Gemini and Sagittarius placements it would be weed, but for his Scorpio moon, it will be Heroin. Strong, addictive, obsessive, intense and secretive, his Scorpio moon emotions would've caused major conflicts with the rest of his placements.
In terms of workplace (which is where his moon is placement) in the 6th House; the 6th House represents jobs, workplace environments, and the kind of work one does.
His job, workplace environment and the kind of work that he does brought up a lot of intense emotions. I can see why he snitched. Moon here (though it's in Scorpio) gives a Cancerian/Lunar feel to work. He works to feel secure, safe, and fullfilled emotionally in his job. I am sure working for the NSA did that for him. The NSA was probably his best and most favorite job. It appealed to his Gemini qualities (curiosity/intelligence), his Scorpio moon (intensity/power hunger), and Sagittarius placements (higher sense of purpose, justice & knowledge.)

Uranus and Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 6th House
Not only is he very Geminian/Mercurian, he is also very Sagittarian/Jupiterian. He has a stellium in Sagittarius which is interesting. This is because he's on the Gemini/Sagittarius opposition axis. A sort of bi-polar/tension quality to him. He was probably constantly wrestling between his need for information/facts (Gemini) and his need for knowledge/belief (Sagittarius). Since it is a Charlie Sheen of astrology bi-polar sort of placement he had to do something crazy/drastic (like betraying his country).
He has his Uranus and Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 6th House, which is very eerie how perfectly it fits with his life. Uranus represents rebellion, and he rebelled in his workplace (the 6th House), in the most Sagittarian way possible. This is by gathering his secret work knowledge and making it known to the world.

While Jupiter in there too it expanded his Uranus and Moon placements. Not only that but gives him a strong system of morality and beliefs. Jupiter is domicile aka home in Sagittarius (rules over Pisces and Sagittarius traditionally). Meaning that it expresses this energy the way this energy was meant to be expressed.
Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 6th House energy is someone who believes in what they do and works for what they believe in. These are the Social Justice Warriors (SJWS) of the world. Right or wrong there is no doubt that he has strong beliefs. He describes himself as a patriot. He believe he was right and that his actions were justified. Since he believed in this so strongly, so passionately he shot his bow out far and wide (this is a very good pun I wrote).

Neptune in Sagittarius in the 7th House
Somewhere he stopped believing in his country and started looking at it as an enemy of it's citizens. But when and how? We would never know. Even so this placement can also explain why his story and actions caused such a sensation. Neptune is about love, spirituality, and transcending the ego/consciousness. It's also about breaking boundaries (for that higher love). Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and represents universal love. Edward Snowden probably thought he was doing all this for the greater good of America. This placement shows why he self sacrificed and revoked his citizenship/home for this love/belief/delusion/whatever you want to call it.
In the 7th House Neptune in Sagittarius is very relationship oriented. Except in his case he has a relationship with the world. To mention the Weeknd's song title, Edward Snowden, "Belongs to the World". Now and always. This energy isn't just personal (Neptune is actually trans-personal). Sagittarius like Neptune is open and wide, ready to absorb everything and everyone. Even so, to note there is a sense of delusion/illusion quality to it, so not everything is as it seems. Like who is Edward really? a friend? a foe? a good guy? bad guy? That is Neptune in the 7th House.
This energy definitely blurred the lines of right and wrong in relationship(s) with his bosses/government. Not to mention Edward's most strongest relationship: his country.
This is so Pluto in Scorpio because the Pluto in Scorpio Generation is inheriting the earth. Pluto in Scorpio is watching and taking note, slowing waiting for the Pluto in Libra generation to pass the baton. Edward fits in because he is providing an example to future Edward Snowdens' to do what he did (accept better and probably sleuth-lier). His issues and concerns were about privacy which is something future generations especially Pluto in Scorpio are going to battle with. He was born to be in this time and be apart of Pluto in Scorpio consciousness.

Noble or foolish. Traiter or Hero. Edward is important figure in US history. Did I mention that today June 21st is his birthday!!!

Libra Celebrity Archetype That Ain't Shit: Gwyneth Paltrow

One of my top choices was Kim Kardashian, but that is too obvious. Plus I am not a bandwagon Kim Kardashian Hater. Not too far from my line of thinking was Amber Rose.  I was also thinking John Mayer, but he is played out. The best choice? Gwyneth Paltrow.

I chose Gwyneth Paltrow simply for the fact that she is one of the few celebrity Libras that everyone generally and legitimately hates. By the way Kim K don't count because most her haters are jealous of her. I suspect some of her haters want to have sex with her but hate her because she has a preference for black men (#casualracism). Others hate her because they think she is a whore and slutshame her (I disagree with all of that). The rest think she is fame-whore (she kinda is) useless and stupid (she is a bit useless, but I don't she is stupid).

Anyway time to get into astrology. Her sun sign is obviously Libra. She is so Libran and so anti-Libran at the same time.  Perhaps this is because she has Sun (ego) conjunct her Mercury (communication) in Libra, Mars (action) in Virgo and Pluto (destructiveness/transformation) in Libra. This gives Gwyneth  OCD like tendencies about food, exercising, fashion, and generally everything else. Libra is all about beauty so much so that it borders obsessive and shallow.

Pluto in Libra seems to amplify all of her Libra qualities (especially the negative ones). The negative qualities of sun in Libra is pretentiousness and shallowness. Even if she isn't like this (and I think she is), people with heavy Plutonian energy bring out the best or worst in people and in themselves.  Gwyneth has Mars in Virgo. This can make her a preachy perfectionist, and a puritanical know-it-all. Even so, she works hard (exercising and shit), but she also likes to rub it in people's faces. She thinks she is better, smarter, and healthier than everyone. Mars conjunct her sun makes her a warrior, competitive, combative, and she is a tough character. Conjunct with her Pluto makes her an intense control freak.

She has moon in Gemini, this makes her flip-floppy, inconsistent, and contradict herself. Her moon trines her sun and mercury which supports her personality and communication style. Not only that but it supports and justifies her oftentimes poor behavior. Her Saturn is conjunct her moon which could signify insecurity and the need to constantly push oneself. Clearly someone confident doesn't feel the need to brag, show off and rub it in people's faces how much better she is than them. They just know it. Clearly she doesn't.

If the ascendant is accurate she has Pisces Rising. Your rising sign is how other people see her and what sign she portray to others. She is sensitive soul even though she continually say incredibly stupid and offensive things. She is halfway a mess and like Pluto, Neptune ruling Pisces can bring misunderstanding about who a person actually is. Pisces is a conduit, it carries and support energy. Not only that but it blurs the boundaries and muddies everything. This is one of the reasons why the public hates her so much.

Moving on to mercury this where is truly where Gwyneth gets in trouble and has foot in mouth syndrome. Mercury conjunct Pluto in Libra. This allows her to be not only straightforward  but blunt. This placement can make someone say insensitive, harsh, and often cunt punt worthy things. Her words alienate people. Even if they are not meant in that way, it is taken that way. She definitely has power in her words.

GOOP

Again Pluto conjunction amplifies good and negative qualities. Libra is ruled by Venus which LOVES beauty and culture. The shadow side of Libra is pretentiousness and her pretentiousness is amazing. If you read any of her quotes she says some pretty smug things. To a lot of us common folks she symbolizes the worst in both rich and celebrity cultures and economy inequality. She literally lives under a rock.

Probably quotes him everyday
Not only that but her Mercury is also conjunct Uranus in Libra making her say outrageous things. Uranus in Libra is rebelliously Libran. Again Libra is ruled by Venus loves beauty and culture. Gwyneth revels in and probably secretly enjoys shocking and offending people (not very Libran) but very Uranus. Uranus is the planet of rebellion, invention, and revolution. Look at her conscious uncoupling term, her hipster lifestyle website Goop, the fact she named her daughter Apple. Very rebellious in a cool Libra way.

Mercury working with Uranus and Pluto is an interesting combo that is as powerful as it is difficult. Conjunctions don't make a person see themselves too clearly. Conjunctions don't give someone, Gwyneth, in this case perspective.  She clearly doesn't know or understand the effect she has on people.

The quote above: " I am who I am, I can't pretend to be somebody who lives on $25,000 a year." This statement is true she knows who she is and she is living out her life she wants. Though Gwyneth probably feels she is being attacked for who she is and defends herself. Mercury conjunct Uranus makes her defensive over her sense of individuality, which is probably why she keeps repeating the cycle of saying stupid shit over and over again.

Even so, with Mercury conjunct Pluto she also doesn't know she being offensive and she probably doesn't mean to (consciously that is). Libra is after all; the least offensive sign.

The kicker is her Venus in Leo that sums up most of the points I made about her chart. Leo is all about having a good time. This isn't a bad placement at all. Gwyneth clearly loves the luxurious life style and she wants the best out if life (who doesn't). She has Venus sextile Uranus, which supports her rebellious personality and the fact that she is constantly defending her individuality. Leo is all about individuality and uniqueness.

Anyway she is probably very generous, very loving and has a big heart. Even so, Venus in Leo can be arrogant and have a superiority complex. Being Plutonian and overtly Libran she is an extremist and having Venus in Leo doesn't help. Leo is one of the most stubborn fixed signs (after Taurus). Stubbornness can make someone spiteful. Venus in Leo when attacked is very much like an lioness. Dramatic with an ego to fill an opera hall she pounces. In celebrity world it is showing off to the haters (and she has done that a lot) and embracing her least pleasurable placements fully. That is like the best Fuck You to Haters afterall (even if it isn't helpful).

Anyway this is my Libra Celebrity Archetype That Ain't Shit post.

Image result for Gwyneth Paltrow

Disclaimer I am not defending Gwyneth or attacking her for that matter. She can be a real smug and arrogant cunt punt. But she isn't just that, Gwyneth isn't a horrible person. She gets a lot of unjustified hate by a bunch of jealous, probably overweight mothers. I admit some of it is justified (she courts drama like it is her mama).  Even so, Astrology is about perspective and about judging planets, positions, and placements. We are not just good or bad but a mixture of both. Anyway hope all you Libra cunt punts enjoy this.
