The Aquarius Trinity aka The Destiny’s Child: The Astrology of Aquariuses in Black Liberation: Part 2: Angela Davis

The Aquarius Trinity aka The Destiny’s Child: The Astrology of Aquariuses in Black Liberation: Part 2: Angela Davis

It’s the last day of February and Black History Month (though Black History is every month!!). Though it’s Pisces Season I thought I will continue my Astrology of Black Liberation series by working a little backwards into peak Black Liberation energy. This being Aquarius energy, the 11th sign, the 11th House, the Water Bearer.

I couldn’t decide on which Aquarius I wanted to choose, so I decided to talk about a bunch of Aquariuses including what I call the Aquarius Trinity or The Destiny’s Child of Aquariuses in Black Liberation. In Christianity the Trinity is oftentimes The Father (God), The Son (Jesus), and The Holy Spirit (Spirit). All distinct but also one. If you want to get low brow and not take it spiritually the Aquarius Trinity can be called The Destiny Child of Aquariuses in Black Liberation.

Long introduction aside if you haven’t read the title I am referring to Aquariuses Angela Davis, and my last person to complete The Aquarius Trinity aka The Destiny's Child of Aquariuses in Black Liberation: Alice Walker.

I would say they all represent three different sides and energies of Aquariuses while at the same time being very similar, Aquarian, and being a big part of Black Liberation.

To keep it simple I won't be going over their houses or writing about their rising signs in detail. Also to note I will be talking about Bastard conjunctions/aspect. Now let's get into it

Angela Davis was born January 26th 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama. She has 3 siblings and her mother who was a teacher and a father owned a gas station.  Angela Davis  is a writer, philosopher, scholar, professor and a 1960s/1970s counterculture political activist and radical. She's a Marxist -Socialist- Communist- Anti-Capitalist, Anti-imperialism, Anti-war, Anti Prison-military industrial complex, Lesbian- Feminist Vegan revolutionary. She is classic, traditional Uranian-  Aquarius prototype and one of the PEAKEST of PEAK Black Liberation energy.

Angela grew up in a place known as Dynamite Hill. This neighborhood was known for its racial violence in the form of house bombings by whites in the 1950s Alabama to force out black middle class from their neighborhoods. Her mother was an active Communist so Angela grew up around radical intellectuals and communist organizers, even participating in a Communist youth group.

Angela Davis pursued a degree in French and then philosophy attending Brandeis University in Massachusetts, France (Biarritz and Sorbonne Universities), and Germany (
University of Frankfurt) graduating in 1965. During and after college she joined international communist/political organizations. She furthered her studies graduating with a masters from University of California, San Diego in 1968, and earning a doctorate at Humboldt University in East Berlin.

In 1969-1970 she became an acting assistant philosophy professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She was fired for being a communist.

In 1970 her guns were used in a courthouse armed takeover hostage situation that resulted in the deaths of 4 people including a judge. She was charged with three capital offenses that included aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder and was facing the death penalty. She was found to not be directly involved and acquitted of all charges in 1972.

This was not before she fled and was on the run as a fugitive alluding the Feds, and was put on the FBI'S most wanted list before her capture. After she was arrested she spent over a year in jail. This led to her being seen as a counterculture hero in which her supporters rallied behind her. Her supporters included Aretha Franklin (who paid her bail), The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, another counterculture GOAT who even made a song about her titled, "Angela" in 1972.

This experience led to her lifelong quest to abolish prison and the prison industrial complex.

After her acquittal she went on a communist traveling speaking tour to Cuba, the Soviet Union, and East Germany. In the 1980s she dipped her toes in direct politics accepting nomination twice as a running mate for a Communist presidential hopeful. From the 1960s to now Angela is a lecturer, author and a professor for various colleges and universities achieving an academic career while participating in and supporting grass roots causes like prison abolition.

Let's get into her astrology

Sun in 5 Degrees Aquarius
Moon in 20 Degrees Aquarius
Mercury in 11 Degrees Capricorn
Venus in 28 Degrees Sagittarius
Mars in 6 Degrees Gemini Retrograde
Jupiter in 24 Degrees Leo Retrograde
Saturn in 20 Degrees Gemini Retrograde
Uranus in 4 Degrees Gemini  Retrograde
Neptune in 4? Degrees Libra Retrograde
Pluto in 7 Degrees Leo Retrograde
North Node in 6 Degrees Leo Retrograde
Chiron in 14 Degrees Virgo Retrograde
* Ascendant in Taurus*

Some themes I notice in her astrology include:
- Double Aquarius
- Air Grand Trine with Sun/Moon in Aquarius, Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Libra
- Stellium in Leo with Jupiter, Pluto, and North Node in Leo
- Stellium in Gemini with Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in Gemini
- Oppositions between Aquarius/Leo and T Square between Gemini/Sagittarius and Virgo
5 planets, 1 asteroid, and 1 node are in retrograde: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, North node, Chiron
- Bastard Earth Grand Trine

Angela has her Sun in 5 Degrees Aquarius bastardly conjunct Moon in 20 Degrees Aquarius

Angela is tapped into the Uranus-Uranian rebellious freedom fighter energy side of Aquarius. This is the side of Aquarius that people love to highlight citing Uranus's modern ruler.

This is her pedigree greatly influenced by her mom, her parents and parents' friends grassroots Communist ideas and beliefs. This a great case study for when nurture and nature are intertwined and support her fate and free will. Would she have been a Communist revolutionary if it wasn't for her parents/environment?

I think she would but I think it amplified and reinforced her nature.

Angela is a double Aquarius so her personality/ego (Sun) and emotions/habits (Moon) are in alignment and are after similar goals and experiences which is freedom, liberation, independence. To not be limited and controlled because of her race, gender, sexuality, politics, class, or lifestyle. It can be seen as idealistic but is it really futuristic.

Angela has Mercury in 11 Degrees Capricorn trine Chiron 14 degrees in Virgo. Despite her zany rebellious Uranian energy there is a methodical, organized communication and thinking abilities. She thinks before she speaks, speaks slowly, careful with her words, logical, and intentional.

Mercury is trining Chiron (the wounded healer) so her words are powerful and have the power to heal or harm depending on how it's used.

If you add in her Ascendant in Taurus she has an Earth bastard grand trine which balances and grounds her airy Air Grand trine with more a practical realistic perspective.

Venus in 28 Degrees Sagittarius with a bastard sextile with her Sun/Moon

Angelia has her Venus in 28 Degrees Sagittarius with a bastard sextile with her Sun/Moon. This compliments her Aquarius energy well. Aquarius and Sagittarius are kindred spirits both wanting freedom, independence, and to cross boundaries.

Her traveling while pursuing her undergraduate and graduate studies is peak Sagittarius/Jupiter energy and shows her adaptability and her quest for knowledge, and new experiences. This is very Jupiterian. Jupiter isn't just about expansion, luck, crossing boundaries.

She grew up in the South in an incredibly volatile racist, violent times where she had to learn to fight, to be aware of her environment and world. I am sure she probably felt she had to escape so she used her mind/education as a means to escape her immediate environment/country.

Air Grand Trine with Sun/Moon in Aquarius, Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Libra

Angela has a Air Grand Trine with Sun/Moon in Aquarius, Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Libra. Constant communication, interacting with people, and being in the know is important to her. Relationships and novelty.

Neptune in Libra is concerned with social justice and breaking down the boundaries and illusions that separate people and prevent/destroys relationships which is oftentimes race, gender, class, sexuality. Neptune in Libra is concerned with Equality and balancing ideals. Since it's Libra they want to this with the collective power of others and partnerships.

Specifically she has a Stellium in Gemini with Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in Gemini. This shows that she's highly adaptive, intelligent, curious, and is always willing learn.

On the downside she's restless, nosey, and gets bored easy. You know that phrase idle hands are the devil's tools.

She fights with her mind, with her words, ideas, her philosophies which is how air dominated and mercurial people fight.

Angela with Mars, Saturn, and Uranus in Gemini used knowledge, the act of learning (Mars in Gemini) and knowledge is power as her form of rebellion (Uranus in Gemini). Becoming educated (traditionally with school/higher learning) and receiving street smarts from the world/community didn't hold her back but help her develop discipline and apply her knowledge and wisdom with responsibility (Saturn in Gemini).

ANGELA DAVIS AND TONI MORRISON

Stellium in Leo with Jupiter, Pluto, and North Node in Leo

Angela has Angela has pride in who she is and her history.

Racism and the system of racism is very evil and very insidious and huge part is shame. Racists and the system of racism is all about blacks feeling shame
-Shame that their ancestors and family members were enslaved and conquered.
- Shame of their features, hair texture and skin color, particularly if dark skinned.
- Shame of your existence, taking up space, and being confident, gifted, talented, smart, beautiful, articulate, resilient, etc.

When I started my black liberation series. I started it last year 2020 in Leo season. A lot of the modern revolutionaries were born during Pluto in Leo (roughly 1939-1957 in astrology with [BABY BOOMERS generation - BORN 1946-1964]. Coming of age during Pluto in Virgo time. A lot of Pluto in Leo generation's liberation energy has to do with pride and to unpack the effects of shame, and what Jim Crow-Segregation-Reconstruction-Racism did to their psyche.

The opposite of shame is pride. Blacks with Pluto in Leo running through their veins didn't want the shame because it was put on them, and all they wanted was to live. The Pluto in Leo generation were/are naturally confident, creative, filled with love, and bursting to show and tell the world.

Angela rocked an Afro (like many who followed the Black pride movement). She didn't run away from her blackness, she took pride in it. Her Leo stellium showed she refused to be denigrated, AND limited because of her race/gender/class. Especially with North Node in Leo is was born to stand out, shine, and be the light for others.

Oppositions between Aquarius/Leo and T Square between Gemini/Sagittarius and Virgo

Angela has oppositions between Aquarius/Leo and T Square between Gemini/Sagittarius and Virgo

In terms of oppositions and my opinion is that oppositions in Astrology doing/being/going after and believing in the same things but doing it in the opposite way. Aquarius/Leo and Gemini/Sagittarius want/believe/go after the same/similar things but in opposite ways.

Leo is confident and wants to shine and be the center of attention. Their energy is directed inwards. Leo place themselves in the center they are the Sun.
Aquarius is confident too, they shine when they let others shine. Their energy is directed outwards. Aquarius place others in the center and don't mind being an outer planet, Uranus!

I would say that Angela's Aquarius sun/moon probably feels discomfort with her stellium in Leo so her compromise is to be amongst her people, where she can shine and at the same time she can use her Aquarius-ness water bearing skills to give others the platform and space to shine too. It's a win/win and everyone gets what they want. The only thing Angela has to watch out for is ego getting in the way from both sides (not just on Leo side, Aquariuses have egos too!!).

It's important to note that Angela has a lot of retrograde planets and planetary placements. She has 5 planets, 1 asteroid, and 1 node are in retrograde: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, North node, Chiron. In astrology often times retrograde planets are seen as a nuance or less Retrograde planets are not less than direct planets . Introspection, having to slow down and delated gratification.

Angela has a T Square between Gemini/Sagittarius and Virgo. A t square is an opposition with a square. Gemini and Sagittarius are in opposition and they are both squared Virgo.

In the extremes Oppositions can make you be seen as contradictory, contrarian, hypocritical, without integrity or backbone because your actions and inner values are being pulled in opposite directions. This can be true but most of the time it's not, especially if you find the commonality of where the opposition meets in the middle.

Virgo/Pisces opposition for example is their need to serve and help. Cancer/Capricorn it's security. Taurus/Scorpio it's abundance/resources. Aries/Libra it's identity. Leo/Aquarius it's ego.

For Gemini/Sagittarius it's their need to learn and acquire knowledge. Sagittarius does this by traveling, religion, higher education, and stretching the boundaries. Gemini it's more local/centralized, and it's through communicating with other people, being involved in the community, hobbies/interests, etc.

As I mentioned before Angela uses her Gemini/Sagittarius opposition well. She used her Sagittarius part by pursuing higher education, completing much of her studies abroad and traveling. Her Gemini is her community organizing, publishing books, engaging with the media, and creating grassroots organizations. Both is her traveling tours, giving speeches, and pursuing a career in academia by teaching/lecturing in colleges and universities.

Her Chiron in Virgo is squared her Gemini/Sagittarius placements so her wounded healer is in the Virgo areas of efficiency, perfection, attention to details, and having standards. Gemini/Sagittarius is not concerned with these things. To be honest I think she's using her Chiron in Virgo in the best ways she could. Her activism can be seen as healing and affirming for others. Perhaps it's not for her and she isn't satisfied until she achieves her goals. It's normal not to be dissatisfied; which is reasonable and not her fault at all.

It's the way the world is set up! Especially in terms of Black Liberation, where it's always one step forward two steps back. Racism and anti-blackness is very insidious and evil like an efficient perfect virus because in the sense that it can change it's form and adapt to go unnoticed and checked.

Regardless Black Liberation is more of series of journeys than just a destination. My definition and form of Black Liberation may not be yours and vice versa. That's ok!

I chose Angela Davis as one of The Aquarius Trinity of The Astrology of Aquariuses in Black Liberation because she is the quintessential Aquariuses, the Uranian modern Aquarius.

Stubborn Rebel, political agitator, polarizing, idealist freedom fighter for the oppressed. Willing to both use her ego and put her ego to the side to fight for others. This is Aquarius energy in Black Liberation. One of strongest stances is Anti-capitalism and prison abolition.

Aquarius does not fight for everyone (that's more Pisces).  Aquarius fights for the oppressed/underdogs, they fight for the voiceless, they fight for the ones with similar ideological or social characteristics (race, gender, class for example). Angela is fighting for the Marxist -Socialist- Communist- Anti-Capitalist, Anti-imperialism, Anti-war, Anti Prison-military industrial complex, Lesbian- Feminist Vegans who are disenfranchised like her. This is her brand of black liberation.

The Aquarius Trinity aka The Destiny’s Child: The Astrology of Aquariuses in Black Liberation: Part 1: Toni Morrison

The Aquarius Trinity aka The Destiny’s Child: The Astrology of Aquariuses in Black Liberation: Part 1: Toni Morrison

It’s the last days of February and Black History Month (though Black History is every month!!).

FYI I am speaking of the last Destiny's Child line up, not the original 4 girls, so just BeyoncĂ©, Kelly, and Michelle. These are just analogies, I am not comparing these three Aquariuses to God nor deciding who’s the BeyoncĂ© or who’s the Michelle. If you don’t like my analogies they can be the Three Magi (or Wise Men or Kings), the Three Musketeers or Three’s Company or Three Blind Mice or even Three 6 Mafia (depending on the levels of Mutable energy in their charts). Ok the last two examples definitely not.

All my rambling aside if you haven’t read the title I am referring to Aquariuses Toni Morrison (RIP), Angela Davis, and Alice Walker. I would say they all represent three different sides and energies of Aquariuses while at the same time being very similar and Aquarian.

To keep it simple I won't be going over their houses or writing about their rising signs in detail. Also to note I will be talking about Bastard conjunctions/aspect.

Bastard conjunction or Bastard aspects is an astrology slang phrase I coined to represent the relationship of planets that are not technically conjunct or form aspects (aka have relationships) because they fall outside the limits due to having wider orbs and degrees.

Bastard child aspects or Bastard aspects represent an out of wedlock child that's vaguely related but not that strong of union or relationship with their family/siblings because it is outside the bounds of rules/tradition.

I consider a planet a bastard conjunction (or square or sextile or trine, or etc.), when they are in the same sign regardless of degrees or orbs. I consider this because even if they are out of orb or too wide of a degree. They are still working towards the same goals, struggles with similar things, and behaves similar to a technical aspect even if their relationship isn''t that or as close or tight or as strong. For me out of orb planetary relationships in planets of the same sign are familial but instead of twin or sibling relationships; it's more like a cousin or half sibling relationship. This is my own preference if you don't agree it's fine and I am not putting it on anyone. This is how I interpret it when I am working with charts in this personal astrology blog. I call them Bastard Conjunction. Bastard Square Bastard Trine Bastard (insert aspect here) etc.

TONI MORRISON

Toni Morrison born on February 18th 1931 in Lorain, Ohio. She was the second of four children to working class parents. She was an American professor, editor, playwright, essayist, children's writer, and novelist. She first started out teaching and transitioned into editing until after her divorce (while pregnant) in the mid 1960s. As an editor for Random House publishing company becoming it's first black female fiction editor and is credit to pushing Black literature and writing into the mainstream media and publishing worlds. She helped publish books for Muhammed Ali, Huey Newton, and Angela Davis to name a few.

She didn't start writing professionally until 1970 at aged 39 with her first book, The Bluest Eyes. She followed with Sula (1973), Song of Solomon (1977), and Tar Baby (1981). She's best known for her critically acclaimed, New York Times best selling, 1988 Pulitzer Prize winning 1987 novel Beloved; that was later turned into a 1998 movie starring Oprah and Danny Glover. She also won a Nobel Prize in 1993 for Beloved. Beloved was part of a trilogy with Jazz (1992), and Paradise (1997).

Toni Morrison was later honored many years later with a Presidential Medal of Honor in 2012. Sadly in 2019 during Leo Season at the age of 88, Toni Morrison died.

Below is her astrology information from Astrocharts

Sun in 29 Degrees Aquarius
Moon in 11 Degrees Pisces
Mercury in 10 Degrees Aquarius
Venus in 12 Degrees Capricorn
Mars in 29 Degrees Cancer Retrograde
Jupiter in 10 Degrees Cancer Retrograde
Saturn in 19 Degrees Capricorn
Uranus in 12 Aries Degrees Aries
North Node in 17 Degrees Aries Retrograde
Neptune in 4  Degrees Virgo
Pluto in 19 Degrees Cancer Retrograde
Chiron in 14 Degrees Taurus
* Ascendant in 25 Degrees Taurus*

Looking at her chart placements a few themes stand out.

Toni Morrison is a more emotionally present, introspective, and curious Aquarius Sun with Pisces Moon, and Cancer stellium. She has Cancer Mars, Cancer Jupiter, and Cancer Pluto.

Ironically she's also has a more stoic/traditional Saturn ruled Aquarius ( as opposite to an Uranian Aquarius) with the Capricorn/Saturn influence of Venus conjunct Saturn in Capricorn. She has several oppositions aspects between Cancer & Capricorn and Pisces & Virgo, and a bunch of t squares.

She's also more of an earthy Aquarius with a bastard grand Earth trine with Venus & Saturn in Capricorn, Neptune in Virgo, Chiron in Taurus, and  Ascendant in Taurus. Cardinal energy is pretty dominate having 3 out of the 4 Cardinal signs in her chart. Lastly she is 12th Houser with a stellium of Uranus, North Node and Chiron in the 12th House.

Toni has a bastard conjunction between her Sun in 29 Degrees Aquarius and Mercury in 10 Degrees Aquarius. She's an Aquarius so she's naturally an intellectual that is concerned with her community and the world around her.  Part individualist loner and part social intellectual trendsetter she put her talents to use as first a professor and then an editor.

Using her water bearer energy she valued inclusion and promoted the words and stories of Black American movers and shakers like activists, writers, and athletes.

Toni has her Moon in Pisces Sextile her Venus in Capricorn. This shows harmony between her emotions (Moon) and sense of beauty and richness in relationships (Venus).
Her Moon trine is Jupiter both in water signs which shows emotional optimism, emotional openness and the need to expand oneself by using their feelings and intuition as conduits and guides for a fulfilling experience.

Toni Moon has a bastard opposition with Neptune in 4 degrees Virgo this shows bit of a conflict between her emotion impulses, and habits (Moon) and her sense of boundaries, illusions, fantasies (Neptune). Possibly shows problems with respecting boundaries and/or having her emotional boundaries respected. Neptune in Virgo has a nervous critical fidgety energy while Moon in Pisces has a sensitive, emotional sponge vulnerable sort of energy. Creating a seesaw effect and cycle of reinforcing, and then breaking down emotional boundaries and illusions.

Toni Morrison has Venus 12 Degrees Capricorn conjunct Saturn in 19 Degrees Capricorn opposite Jupiter in Cancer
Venus square Uranus/North Node in Aries

All this points to strong Saturn energy by way of Capricorn and sense of delays, having to start over, limitations, and maturation/wisdom via pain and struggles.

Toni started professional writing at 39 as a mature single divorcee in the 1970s.' I could imagine she was emotionally raw, insecure, and scarred from her divorce.

The lows of her Capricorn energy gave her inspiration and confidence to lean into her Cancer energy. While the highs of her Capricorn energy have her the discipline, responsibility to fulfill the goals of her Cancer energy and not be boggled down by emotions. As I said before oppositions work in the fact that opposition pairs work and go after the same goals, values, the same themes and ideas but in opposite ways. Capricorn leans into stoicism, hard work, duty to guide and hold people accountable despite emotions while Cancer leans into emotionalism, also hard work, and a duty to support/nurture others in service of emotions. Both striving for security.

In an interview with her Aquarius sis Oprah she felt a calling, she feels an obligation and a duty to devote herself to 1. being a mother 2. being a writer.

This brings me to her Mars in 29 Degrees Cancer Retrograde
and Jupiter in 10 Degrees Cancer Retrograde energy.

As I said before the lows of her Capricorn energy gave her inspiration and confidence to lean into her Cancer energy, especially her faith in Jupiter in Cancer (exalted btw). Her abundance/expansion optimism (Jupiter), the urges and calls to action of her (Mars) energy allow her to release her Capricorn energy.

In March 8th 1998 60 Minutes interview she said she felt a debt to her people, and especially to her mother, literally and symbolically.

I suspect her writing made her feel a sense of security, purpose, and made her feel closer to her family, her people, and herself.

Family and motherhood is clearly very important to Toni Morrison. Later in her career she wrote children's books with one of her sons. A 2004 CBS Sunday Morning interview on YouTube shows this. Combining business and family, security and creatively.

The rebellious atypical Aquarius energy is supported by her independent Aries North Node & Uranus conjunction that gave her stubbornness and strength to pursue a career while being a devoted mother.

In her art, in the book, her book, the one that really put her on the mainstream map was Beloved. Beloved was about a formerly enslaved post Civil Water Reconstruction woman and her family. This woman who had escaped slavery made the desperate decision to killed her young 2 year old daughter to avoid slavery. Years later she is haunted by the ghost of her dead child.

Her book is very reflective of her several oppositions aspects between Cancer & Capricorn and Pisces & Virgo. Along with the violence, death, transformation cycle of the t square between Pluto/Jupiter/Mars in Cancer & Venus/Saturn in Capricorn opposite then squaring Uranus conjunct North Node in Aries.

Virgo fixation mixed with Pisces both dissolving earthly boundaries to be haunted by a supernatural spirit from the great beyond. This is peak Moon in Pisces opposite Neptune in Virgo energy. Showcasing a spiritual death, disillusion of self and exploration of the emotions of trauma, guilt, and grief of taking one's own child.

While the t square between Pluto/Jupiter/Mars in Cancer & Venus/Saturn in Capricorn opposite then squaring Uranus conjunct North Node in Aries. A tale of a mother (Cancer) that loved her child so much, with such rawness and intensity that she had to kill her daughter as both an act of rebellion, survival (Uranus/ North Node in Aries) in the form of extreme violence to protect and spare (Mars) her child (Pluto/Jupiter/Mars in Cancer) from the horrors of slavery, racism, trauma, torture, rape, physical emotional mental and sexual abuse (Pluto).

It was a mercy killing, a necessary evil, wrong morally, neutral spiritually, and a reasonable but extreme decision as a parent, a compulsion to nurture (Toni's words). In Toni's words via a PBS NewsHour interview it was the right thing to do but it was not her right to do it. The mother in Beloved chose and controlled Beloved's fate by choosing death which is also an interesting juxtaposition between Toni's own Pluto conjunct Jupiter in Cancer with Pluto exacting opposing Saturn (no bastard opposition). It deals with the themes between fate/faith (Jupiter), control (Saturn), death Saturn/Pluto and transformation (Pluto).

Toni Morrison's Beloved was inspired by the real life story of enslaved woman Margaret Garner who killed her child rather than give her up to life of slavery. This action speaks of Toni's Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Cancer which in of itself recalls, reinterpret and transforms a real tragic historical story (Pluto) into one that shows the extremes of motherhood and love (Jupiter).

All this aside to get more into the Black Liberation Aquarius energy and why I chose Toni Morrison for one of the Aquarius Trinity aka The Destiny’s Child of Aquariuses in Black Liberation is that Toni's work, life, and ideas symbolizes what the pursuit of Aquarius energy in Black Liberation looks likes.

Toni lifted up others and gave them a platform via her work as an editor. By sharing her own resources and talents, it in turn gave her the courage to pursuit her solo dreams too.

An interesting tale of Toni Morrison's character, Aquarius-ness and commitment to Black Liberation is that Toni (then in her editor bag at Random House) reached out to a young 26 year old Angela Davis for her to write a autobiography. This was after Angela Davis was acquitted of her charges with the government and out of jail. Angela was not interested and very hesitant due to her age and feeling too young to write an autobiography. Toni was 13 years older than Angela.

Toni was insistent, she felt Angela's story was important and needed to be told. Toni saw her potential and reached out to her, almost like parent/older sister role. She knew Angela needed coxing and nurturing.  Angela did write her autobiography titled: Angela Davis: An Autobiography, Random House (September 1974). They would form and maintained a sort of Mentor (Toni), mentored (Angela) relationship and friendship for decades.

This brings to me to my point Toni Morrison's form of Black Liberation is brining people together, lifting others like herself up, and giving voices to the voiceless (Aquarius) and her own personal brand of Liberation through her own writing that combines her emotional, protective, maternal instincts, & family centeredness (Cancer stellium), sense of duty, urgency, and steadfast despite age/time (Capricorn energy),

The Astrology of Black Liberation: Aquarius SZN PEAK BLACK LIBERATION SEASON #February is Black History Month!

The Astrology of Black Liberation: Aquarius SZN PEAK BLACK LIBERATION SEASON #February is Black History Month!

It's Aquarius season, there's a multi level bastard conjunction/stellium of planets in Aquarius with Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn ALL IN AQUARIUS is peak Black Liberation Season being that

1. In the USA February is Black History Month, which is mostly Aquarius and then Pisces season towards the end of February.

2nd. To quote my own self When I think Liberation and Social Justice with Astrology I think of specifically zodiac signs Aquarius, Sagittarius and Libra and planets/aspects with Uranus (rebellion, independent), Pluto (personal power), and Mars (forceful, combative, energetic). However every sign has an inner social justice warrior in them.

Aquarius is the humanitarian that hates humans but loves humanity, the water bearer AIR sign ruled by it's modern ruler Uranus and traditional ruler Saturn. A blend of detached and personable, rebellion, structured chaos, individualism, groupthink, communication, and contemplation.

Again this is peak Aquarius energy and season. Aquarius as the 11th out of 12 signs is a mixture of a lot of energies throughout the zodiac. Aquarius is seen as the social justice warrior willing to fight for the underdog, fight for others, and themselves.

To quote myself again: It's hard to ignore and not talk about the social climate in the world now. The anti-police BLM brutality protests have died down but the revolution and quest for Liberation is not dead. The protests didn't just come out of nowhere. When using astrology to analyze issues of racism, white supremacy, and anti-blackness it's often seen from the gaze that these issues are new, happened out of nowhere, simple, and solvable.

However racism, oppression, white supremacy, and anti-blackness is more covert, insidious, strategic, and ever evolving. People want to conflate it as JUST A POLITICAL ISSUE. However Black Rights/ Black Liberation isn't just a political issue it's FIRST and FOREMOST a HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE. Not only this but it is also a  SPIRITUAL ISSUE

We are in a spiritual warfare for centuries with it reaching to a place where a lot of people cannot ignore anymore.

Black Liberation is messy. There isn’t one way for Black Liberation and there are many disagreements over it. This includes

- Whether we should be anti-capitalist aka socialist, and focus on economic issues

- Whether we should we focus on dismantling the patriarchy and focus on gender/womanist issues

- Whether LBGTOA+ should be included

- Whether we need a leader like a Martin Luther King Jr. or Malcom X type figure, etc.

Aquarius encapsulates all these energies and conversations.

Aquarius is neither the leader nor follower, but prefers to do things their way. Aquarius has a strong moral sense, ethics, belief systems, and social responsibility. This can be seen as admirable, strong willed, and inspiring but at the same time intolerant, bias, or bully energy.  Aquarius as a fixed Air sign has no problem choosing a side, sticking to it, and drawing a clear line in the sand.

The fixed part of Aquarius is seen as stubborn and inflexible but the air communicative part is open minded, willing to debate, and hear different opposing perspectives to strengthen their own perspective. Aquarius is not for everyone and doesn't try to be for everyone. This is quite contrary to what astrology loves to push about Aquarius.

Aquarius is the "humanitarian" in the sense as what I said before the I hate humans but I love humanity type of energy and mentality. Humanitarian definition from Google below

- concerned with or seeking to promote human welfare

- a person who seeks to promote human welfare; a philanthropist.

Aquarius wants to see humanity progress by promoting human welfare. But there are many different definitions of human welfare. Human welfare can mean science and technology that can help humanity such as anti climate change/global warming technology or transhumanistic technology to prolong life/quality of life. Aquarius has this detached impersonal perspective on human welfare and humanitarianism. It can quickly border into mad scientist, billionaire philanthropist villain energy because of the rebellious defiant, impersonal intellectualism of the Aquarius energy.

Aquarius is for the people that think, act, and share the same politics, beliefs, ideas, goals, and hobbies as them. Aquarius is also 11th House energy where our group associations and networks, collaboration, collective power and individual fortitude are our foundations that can bring out social progress, social change, and in this case Black Liberation.

Unity for an Aquarius can be different groups advocating fighting for themselves and coming together because of their differences. Aquarius supports the right for everyone to fight for themselves and others like themselves. Aquarius however, does not support the discouragement, and stopping from groups and entities that want to prevent others' from advocating and fighting for themselves and others like them.

Aquarius's overall mentality is: I may disagree with how and the way you want human progress and welfare but as long as you are for humanity and advocate for your own people; you are fine with me.

This is Aquarius's main role in Black Liberation. By fighting for yourself, you encourage others to fight for themselves which allows others to fight for people that are just like them. You can disagree but just don't stand in the way of humanity and human rights.

Anyways stay tune and Happy Black History Month!

theastrofiend's BEST VALENTINE'S DAY Zodiac Sign Couples Astrology Synastry Relationship Compatibility Combos

In the spirit of Valentine's Day and Aquarius season I want to highlight and continue on the best astrology zodiac sign pairs. Again it seems the perfect time to talk about Relationship/Romantic Synastry/Compatibility in astrology. I have been thinking about random ass zodiac sign pairings that can be great together. Here is what I have! Enjoy!

Aquarius and Leo

Why?: Y'all can kiss each other and open your eyes so wide that you can see your reflections in each others dilated pupils. Call it a foursome. Aquarius can pretend they don't have an ego while Leo can have an ego that can carry the both of them throughout this relationship. Leo is attracted to the fact that Aquarius's ability to be loved by all without doing too much. While Aquarius is attracted to the fact that Leo actually love themselves as much as they want others to love them. You guys are both in competition and admiration of each other.

Aquarius can cheat on Leo with a Sims 4 character while establishing themselves as a messiah like leader of a cool online cult that worships baby Yoda. While Leo can also cheat with their Zumba instructor who is helping to sculpt their post Covid body for their chance to run into Timothee Chalamet

Aquarius and Virgo

Why? Y'all both hate dumb people, stupidity and idiots. Y'all can complain about the stupidity in others, while humble bragging about your own intelligences, superior DNA, and brain synapses\wiring. Virgo will be drawn to Aquarius's quirky, laid back unemotional detached persona. While Aquarius is attracted to Virgos dual Virgin/Whore switch nature. You guys can roleplay as the Librarian (Virgo) and the Scientist (Aquarius) with both of you supplying the props like rulers, Petrie dishes, glasses, bookmarks, library passes, and chemical substances.

Scorpio and Virgo

Why? Y'all both nosey and judgy as fuck. Virgo can do the research and use its superior deductive and investigative skills. While Scorpio can use it's intuition, fearlessness, and intimidation factor. Virgo knows how to take the backseat and let Scorpio lead. Scorpio knows how to lead but is willing to take the backseat as long as it's still in control. Virgo is drawn to the quiet introverted but powerful non bitch ass but highly bitchy nature of Scorpio. Scorpio is drawn to its Earth sign and more practical equivalent/equal that has bitch ass energy but is a proud bitch. As long as they both manage their neuroticisms, with Scorpio thinking they can predict the future the past and the present and are omnipresent and Virgo thinking they can plan the future, the past, and present.

Scorpio and Sagittarius

Why? Y'all both deviants that love crossing boundaries. Scorpio can go deeper and for longer while Sagittarius can go wider and faster. Pun intended cuss we are adults here and these are the Valentine's\February conception babies that will hatch in 9 months due to their parents not using protection.

Y'all can both cheat because it ain't that serious. Sagittarius doesn't believe in labels and Scorpio is just using Sagittarius which is find by Sagittarius because Sagittarius have multiple f buddies and is doing the same thing. Problems run if they fall in love though. Scorpio's hypocritical neurotic, controlling nature can make Sagittarius want to run or kill them. While Sagittarius unpredictable, unreliable, flaky, and chaotic nature. makes Scorpio not trust them and makes Scorpio want to cut their throat in their sleep.

Libra and Sagittarius

Why? Y'all can have fun, look cool, and do drugs together. Libra is attracted to Sagittarius because Sagittarius is popular, knows everyone, is lucky, and have the hook ups to the trendiest places. Sagittarius is attracted to Libra because Libra is hot (and other stuff too like smelling nice and being too polite to argue back!!!). Problems happen because Libra is a relationship sign and Sagittarius is half man half horse with a bow and arrow that just wants to neigh (pun intended) and go away. Libra doesn't like the crassness, independent free thinking nature of Sagittarius while Sagittarius doesn't like the clingy, fake, boring, and controlling nature of Libra.

Aries and Leo

Why? Y'all can worship each other because it is just the right thing to do. The other zodiac signs don't understand that Aries and Leo are God's gift to the human race. Aries and Leos can make love with mirrors in the ceilings, the windows open, and their dogs, cats, neighbors, mailmen, and co-workers/bosses on Zoom watching their loud, aggressive and violent love making in both awe and horror. Both are confident, bold, and fearless so they are drawn to each other like moths to a flame.

Problems arise if you guys can't stop competing with each and not share the spotlight. Aries won't gas up Leos ego, fall for Leos fishing for compliments or feed Leo constant need for attention. While Leos won't be baited into arguments via Aries vile and tactless words and behavior, Aries childlike bratty I doodoo in my pants act now think later mentality. Plus both want to be the leader, be the boss, but there can be only one boss ass bitch otherwise it cancels each other out and both can become bitter bitch babies instead.

Leo and Sagittarius

Why? Y'all can gas each other and be self righteous without competing or cancelling each other out. Sagittarius is the middle child of the zodiac fire squad even though it's the last in order and the grandpa/oldest. Sagittarius is the meditator and is so changeable that Leo's bossiness and ego doesn't offend most of the time but entertains and inspires. Leo is attracted to Sagittarius adventurous, optimistic non intimating, changeable/exciting nature while Sagittarius is attracted to Leo's glamorous, regal, stable, and unobtainable but relatable nature.

Sagittarius is not into Leos pettiness, shadiness, bossiness, and the need to be adored while controlling everything. While Leo is not into Sagittarius need to run off when things get real, crass embarrassing awkwardness, chillness/lack of drive or tact, and chaotic unpredictable energy.

Taurus and Scorpio

Why? Y'all can be the shameless Capitalists'/maximalist acquiring assets and building generational while destroying the planet together. Foreplay to you guys is have staring contests, seeing who can outlive who, who can go the longest with a grudge and who can last the longest in bed while at the same time making the other orgasm first.

Taurus is not into Scorpio needs to combative, prying, neurotic, untrusting, ready to argue/explode at them randomly while giving the silent treatment and expecting them to figure it out and apologize even though they are not going to believe Taurus anyway so what's the point? Nature

Scorpio is not into Taurus's vanity, greedy, materialistic, superficial, basic, boring, polite simpleton, chill nature that hides a raging bull and hedonistic beast that wants to devour everything around it which secretly turns Scorpio on and wants to unlock.

Y'all are both controlling and stubborn so this can last as long as Scorpio doesn't eat Taurus's food or throwaway their stuff and Taurus DOES NOT EVER LIE or HAVE SECRETS or deny Scorpio of emotional intimacy
