July 4th USA Birthday Natal Chart Reading: The Illusion of Freedom & Independence by theastrofiend

July 4th USA Birthday Natal Chart Reading: The Illusion of Freedom & Independence by theastrofiend

It's July 4th in the United States. This is called Independence Day where the brave strong ex Europeans broke free from mainly the British Empire to self-govern themselves as a free independent country. America for short, it established itself to the world as free and pride itself on independence, rights known as amendments including voting rights, rights to bear arms, etc. and the ability for self-determination.

However like it's natal chart America or the United States is a contradiction, an outlier & flat out liar.

The United States of America as much as it is about freedom, opportunity, autonomy and self-determination. It also just as much a hypocritical unapologetic Racist Capitalist Classist Business. You can't separate one from the other and the natal chart shows this.

FYI America is racist. Always has been always will be. FYI I don't prescribe or subscribe to the elementary school over-simplistic definition that racism is when you hate and think you are better than another races. No that's called prejudice and supremacy (or simply arrogance). Racism to me is systematic oppression. This isn't political, this is history.

Also FYI I do not hate America. As of now I have a very complicated relationship & experience with America. I am grateful for all the privileges I am afforded to have as an American in a first world western country. I am grateful to be given a fighting chance and opportunity for a less sucky life in my privileged as a black woman in America. However this country is not perfect, it will never be, and honesty this country and countries all over globally are overdue for a reckoning against my people/distant family. I see the other side of America's image and the ideals kinda like seeing someone without makeup. They look sick.

Now let's get into the natal chart of USA, screenshot below:

Ascendant in Sagittarius

Appearance is everything with Ascendant/Rising. The Ascendant / Rising sign is not just a mask. It's how we move in life. It's how we introduce ourselves to the world and get to our goals. It's our path in life. America with the mutable Fire energy of Sagittarius is seen as a very lucky gregarious, happy go lucky, larger than life character. America and the American Dream where wealth, big houses, big fast cars, sexy women, brawny men, hedonistic pleasures, and all your wildest dreams can come true. This can be true, but doesn't mean that it is for everyone. Inside those big smiles and open welcoming arms tells another story. The Ascendant in Sagittarius is just the front door, the living room in a big house inside USA's underbelly. Sagittarius loves journeys so let’s take a journey further into America’s natal chart.

2nd House in Capricorn
Pluto in Capricorn

The 2nd House is about money, how we make/earn money, our values, inside and outside, materialism, and our skills.

The United States of America has the 2nd House in Capricorn with their natal Pluto in Capricorn in it. Money was always the motive since before this country was a country.

American history is interesting. It started out as a group of colonies by various European empires solely to make money off of trade. This was during the time of the start of Capitalism, with Europe moving away from feudalism to Capitalism in the 16th and 17th Centuries (1500s'-1600s'). America is the first modern Capitalist country.

The pre America Americans were tired of their main mother country England (Britain, Britannia) controlling and using them. So they rebelled. America literally transformed itself and recognized it's own power (Pluto) and took control (Capricorn) to make a self-sustaining country where they didn't have to share their wealth with their mother/parents (Europe).

You can see it as a business merger where a group of strong but disorganized businesses (colonies) merged to form one powerful company in order to gain a bigger market share (money).

The phrase of Capricorn is "I use." This perfectly describes America's Pluto in Capricorn and 2nd House in Capricorn. Pluto is a generational slow moving generational planet so its' effects is felt by generations of people and is very interpersonal.

The European Empires via the colonies, then later the newly formed America  took the autonomy and power away from others (black slaves, native Indigenous peoples) through violence, trade, monopolizing their products (via the slave labor) in order to make money for themselves and to gain power.

America's survival and resources was on the backs of others which is a negative effect of Pluto and Pluto in Capricorn. The negative effects of Pluto is power struggles and taking power from others to become more powerful.

3rd House in Aquarius
Moon in the 3rd House in Aquarius

Contrary to popular belief Moon in air signs feel emotions and are not robots. However they like to detach from their emotions, talk themselves in or out of emotions and most importantly like to rationalize their emotions, and actions as a result of their feelings. This is what America does. There's a level of detachment and rationalizing/intellectualizing emotions with Moon in Aquarius that is startling considering the stellium of Cancer/Moon/water sign energy in the US's natal chart.

As a fixed Air sign, Aquarius moon emotions are pretty consistent and stable (for an air sign). Stubborn, dogmatic, needing both space/freedom, and intellectual stimulation. Aquarius moons feel emotions but they run from it. They would rather think about it than feel it. Oftentimes compartmentalizing it than letting it flow through them.

Aquarius is seen as a very brotherly, humanitarian sign. It is, but there is an undercurrent of focusing more on collective rather than the individual. The "I love humanity but hate humans paradox."

You, your, emotions/feelings don't matter but the collective does. Oh you're suffering, well millions of people are suffering too. The end results matter. We as the water bearing control and pour the water, but we don't drink it.

America with Moon in Aquarius has done a great job of flat out ignoring and trivializing personal suffering for the greater "good" or for personal gain. America with Moon in Aquarius does a lot of emotional labor to rationalize it's seedy and immoral origins story.

The War of Independence (1775-1783) was waged and funded off the backs of forced black labor is ironic. The Declaration of Independence where all men were created equal and free except black slaves.

Rationalizing & intellectualizing the inhumane evil nature of slavery by adding religion. Using Christianity to justify slavery. The violence, rape, incest, Brainwashing slaves by teaching them Christianity so they are easily controlled.

Rationalizing & intellectualizing White Supremacy, Eugenics with scientific racism, and manifest destiny to make it seem ok to invade occupied lands and steal them from the natives.

This isn't solely an American thing, this is Global but with America it is still going on. America does not want to confront it's atrocities, do the work of feeling emotions, of reflection. slowing down and thinking that it's actions has done to a big majority of it's peoples'.

4th House in Pisces
Chiron in Aries

In the origins story of America in relation to the 4th House in Pisces. America is the unloved, undesirable child who was separated and isolated from it's parents (Europe) in a foreign land with foreign people. America was there on a mission, but soon deviated from the mission because the lines got blurry and the boundaries were broken down. This strange land felt more like home than their original "home." Loyalties changed, and new identities were formed beyond their family, and traditions.

These are some of the themes of the 4th House in Pisces. Sensitivity and being isolated from their family/home. Lost familial lines, crossed/crossing boundaries, blurring & ever changing loyalties and fluid identities.

Having the 4th House ruled by Pisces/Neptune, it is easy for America to have their boundaries crossed and to cross other people's boundaries. Stealing the homeland from Indigenous peoples and making them foreigners and enemies in their homeland is very 4th House Piscean/Neptunian. There is a misconception that Pisces energy is automatically these sweet, naive, uber sensitive passive energy. That isn't true. Pisces is more like a blank ever changing slate. Pisces is both the predator and the prey, the victim and the perpetrator. Like mist there is confusion surrounding what Pisces energy is.

Not to mention Chiron is in Aries in America's natal chart. Asteroid Chiron is the known as the wounded healer, a centaur that can heal others but can't heal itself. America has Chiron in Aries in the 4th House (ruled by Pisces). Violence is the United States of America wounded healer.

The violence of slavery/slave labor created wealth for the world's countries, and the colonies. Especially for America as a country to build and sustain itself up.

World War 2 and that violence and opportunist Capitalist nature of America established and promoted America as a world power.

America is constantly attacked/criticized for its' violence (Gun violence/school shootings, anyone?) and its hypocrisy surrounding it. Violence got America to where it is now. America respects and honors violence (2nd Amendment anyone). We take advantage of violence so much so that it benefits us or "heals" not as much as it wounds.

Just as "independence" and "autonomy" is seen as national ideal/ Violence and denial is our national identity and our pride.

7th House in Gemini
Jupiter in Cancer
(Abundance, Luck, Opportunity, Faith, Cultures etc.)
Venus in Cancer (Relationships, Romance, Business)
Uranus in Gemini
(Rebellion, Freedom, Change, Innovation)
Mars in Gemini
(Drive, Action, Energy, Sexuality, Stamina, etc.)

The themes for the 7th House includes Relationships, partnerships, Business, marriage, open enemies, and projection to name a few.

America has a packed 7th House in the sign of Gemini. America has Jupiter conjunct Venus in Cancer & Mars and Uranus in Gemini in the 7th House. 4 planets

To note America has a major Stellium in Cancer with 2 Cancer planets in the 8th House and 2 Cancer planets in the 7th House. America is a very Cancer country projecting an image of being very motherly, welcoming, jovial, larger than life, protective, and abundant.

America uses its charm/allure (Venus), refreshing rebellious independent spirit (Uranus) and energetic, persuasive, combative energy (Mars) to attract partnerships/allies/opportunities/wealth and abundance (Jupiter).
You want to vacation here, build a home here, live out your dreams from New York, to Hollywood, to Las Vegas, to friggin’ Texas. Thrilling, enticing, so many cultures, so many images; America has projected a fanatic mercurial energy for the world. However once we move past the projection, we much delve further into our journey to the 8th House.

Cancer Stellium: 8th House Energy
8th House in Cancer
Sun in Cancer
Mercury in Retrograde in Cancer
North Node in Leo

America has a stellium in moody emotional Cardinal water sign Cancer. Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Cancer conjunct. This shows that America values family, patriotism, patriarchal, traditions, family values and ancestry.

A narrative I've come up with is:
The United States of America is Europe's privileged Bastard child/prince who inherited the wealth, stolen land, and freedom from his parents who had exiled and abandoned him. He’s rebelling against his family. Sowing his royal oats, making a name outside his family's name and legacy. Immature, entitled, with a chip on his shoulder moving through the world and bending it to his will. Instinctual knowing what to say or do to gain support. Knowing how to form attachments and forging relationships with people by whatever means necessary.

This is very related to the Cancerian 8th House energy of the United States of America. America has Cancer Sun & Mercury retrograde in Cancer, plus North Node in Leo.

The 8th house is many things sex, death, taxes, and much more. The 8th House is also about shared resources and inheritance.

America won it's freedom from the British. America “inherited” stolen land from native people by simply eliminating them and killing them. America turned their backs on the stolen peoples brought to a stolen land who build up America via forced labor, violence, and trauma still felt and inherited via it’s living descendants and their bloodlines to this day. Sun in Cancer in 8th House is very telling. Murky secretive origins story, questionable moral code, and a transformative narrative of a self that is very different from the reality of how it started out.

Cancer is one of the most psychic, sensitive, and spiritually in tune, In the 8th House with Sun (ego, personality) and mercury retrograde (communication, thinking, learning internalized) America understands the psychological depths of humans, human nature, and the human psyche. America is a good psychic, channeler, and alchemy master. This great for judging someone’s strength, sizing someone up, and for manipulating someone and their energy. Things are not what it seems here, are much deeper. Nefarious dealings and pacts made with the underworld.

Especially with Sun in the 8th House there is a conflicting contradictory identity. America deeply religious country that still has the death penalty. A country afraid of the different facades of sexuality but is very comfortable with violence. A country about family values, tradition, with maternal welcoming arms for immigrants and foreigners, while as disrespecting/killing off the native inhabitants and punishing/cursing the forced black builders who are also natives via birthright of this great country. The identity he built for himself became a country and his adoptive family. An identity that is not allowed to be questioned. If it is question, the spin masters are here to call you ungrateful, un-American, to go back to your country. Who’s country is this though?

Mercury retrograde in Cancer in the 8th house flipping the narrative especially with Mars in Gemini trickster energy. FYI yes America uses violence but it mainly fights via its’ words and the media which is so Mars in Gemini.

“The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” ― Malcolm X, a quote by an American.

America's destiny and life path North Node in Leo in the 8th House. From its seedy inception and past to its place currently in the world. America is here for a reason and purpose. Nothing is by chance or by accident. America has moved away from South Node in Aquarius in the 2nd House ideals (Fraternity, brotherhood) from yesteryear to the current/future where it’s not the passive bystander of its destiny but the star. An active passionate set of energies that wants its presence known, admired and noticed. Wanting to be seen, wanting to get the spotlight in the most Plutonian/8th House way possible.

America is the dark banished unapologetic shameless powerful prince who claimed and inherited the future throne of a stolen land through violence, divine right, and manifest destiny. America took on its birthright, its bloodlines soaked in the blood, sweat, and tears of its mother country’s imperialism, colonization, Capitalism, and ravenous excess. America flipped it, bent it to its will and shitted on it.

9th House in Leo
Neptune in Virgo conjunct MC
Lilith retrograde in Leo

America has the 9th House in Leo. The 9th House is all about higher education, longer term travel, different cultures, beliefs, value systems, religion/spirituality, philosophy, and much more. Here in Leo America is proud and unapologetic not feeling the need to apologize for its past and current savagery. Neptune in Virgo is in here and it’s conjunct MC. Focusing on just the Neptune here in the 9th House can show questionable ethics, morals and values. Someone willing to cross boundaries on a surface and on a spiritual levels. Highly idealistic, at times self-righteous, and hypocritical. The search for knowledge in the most extreme ways without limits or boundaries. It’s important to note that Neptune in Virgo is opposite of Neptune’s domicile/home sign in Neptune in Pisces. So Virgo goes about Neptune ideals in the opposite way but share similar goals. Lending a helping with a divine cause higher and deeper than itself. Not allowing itself to be a sacrificial lamb
America has also Lilith retrograde in Leo in the 9th House. This is the bad bitch energy of the motherly, maternal, matronly Cancer that has been flipped upside down. America’s love is conditional, loyalty to no one, self-centered, egotistical, and repressive/oppressive when it comes to 9th house pursuits (higher education, travel/movement). It’s no wonder why the cost of higher education is so high and people go into debt to pursuit it and the American dream? It’s no wonder why the truth is so hard to come by and suppressed (especially with Mercury retrograde in the 8th House).

10th House in Virgo
Saturn in Libra in the 10th House
Neptune in Virgo conjunct the MC

To build after the 9th House energy of America. America has the MC, Mid-heaven, 10th House in Virgo with Saturn in Libra there. The 10th House is the house of career, reputation, public image. It’s how we want to be seen and how we actually are seen to the world on a wider level.

Here America is seen as hard working, studious, with an effort to project the image of being a fair, just country built off of freedom (off that Saturn in Libra energy). America is the world’s peace keeper leading the way against human rights violations and highly encouraging other nations to follow suit.

In terms of Saturn in Libra in the 10th House with Libra supposedly being exalted in Saturn. Saturn is all about hard work, discipline, structure, authority, restrictions, and responsibility.

The downside is that America is seen as meddling, hypocritical, backwards, especially when fashioning itself as leader of a free world being that America profits off of violence and conflict. There is a repressive, oppressive, and restrictive energy and perception here especially in terms of America fashioning itself as a model for justice, liberty, and freedom.
Remember Neptune in Virgo is conjunct MC in Virgo. So there is a bit of self-delusion and not seeing your public self clearly here. This can be true, however.

Yes America has used slaved labor and genocide the native population but what about the other countries? The other nations seem to forget that America is here because of their own greed, their own need for additional resources via global colonization and imperialism that contributed to much of its modern wealth. America has it’s fair share of doing the dirty work but other nations and countries started it and America dominated it. The fact that America dominates is what get these other countries salty. America was their cash cow, the prince that was promised. America publicly defied its’ destiny and made its’ parents their bitch babies and taking a share of the glory.

This can be a symptom of Neptune in Virgo conjunct MC in Virgo AND SATURN in the 10th House being the fall guy, the “victim” in the colonize

Criticisms with America’s reputation by other nations is the pot calling the kettle black. No one’s hands are clean. If America has to deal with the reckoning of its own unforgivable actions so do these countries. They all know this, but they shift blame, point fingers, instead of doing the real work to rectify the conditions. Not that they ever can ever correct things or wash the blood off their hands, but the effort would look pretty.

Overall this was very long and hard to write. Especially in today’s climate and times. But I’m here on the 11th Hour. America is my home. I am a student of history. I am invested in its’ future even if I have conflicting feelings for its' future.

  1. mrs. or mr
i don't know if you are going to read this but judging by your posts it's recent and you are still active

but i am going to discuss and certain point

let's establish that yes acting superior to another race is highly wrong
however many people actually believe in the same thing that they are superior to anothing
not in a conduct of racial basis but maybe ethnic or racial basis

like japanese did believe they were superior to other's once or the jews who believe the same still do and blacks (racial) especially african americans sometimes do as well and the arabs did at somepoint as well or sometimes they do (although they are lousy) anyway and some religious groups believe they are higher and mightier than other's and more pious and close to the truth then their alternatives
so it's misconduct that everyone is guilty of from time to time

i am not even sure that white europeans which branched into americans and canadians and other's feel like that anymore if you want my hypnosis or analogy they were told to think that way ofcourse what they achieved was remarkable , no doubt whites invented and innovated many things along with other's incl. blacks and east asians etc etc

so who pushed them to actually think like that ? i believe the actual people who truly do believe they are better than everyone like high politicans and elite who are of khazar bloodline who truly see themselves as superior and they are actually high intelligent no doubt about it and their connection with the jews too

but i think they are truly the smartest for you to be able to stirr history and people and control them and make them do your work for your own gain and motive
and ideology and perception of ''the end justifies the means'' slogan

they are truly the smartest however everyone has a weakness

now let's head back to the racist discussion

yes many things that happened were wrong but at the end wanting to be a homogenous society is not racist everyone should have the right to be with their own especially
for the slavery everyone was either a slave trader or enslaved and it involved every race and majority of ethnicites including whites themselves at somepoint

for anyone to underestimate another race is wrong however they wanting homogeniety is right for everyone
they might be tricked by these politicans and god knows that none of these problems would go away and promises would never be granted and interests groups who fight the most about a certain cause turn to be the most hypocrites of all

but them wanting to be homogenous once in the past and now isn't racist that goes for anyone
as for you a black person
you do know they gave a chance for segregation many times and the advocated for a state project called liberia

if these people were truly supremacist and racist they wouldn't have done that at all

    ReplyDelete
  2. also them rationalizing what happened to the land is normal they conquered it
they aren't first or the last to do so
however i don't agree for what they did to the natives that was so wrong they should have gave them their own space and had mercy on them i am not talking about the reserves either
    and let me tell you
you wouldbe infact be shocked how many lands got colonized not by whites by the way
if you only knew the truth about so many you would know whites did was a walk in the park
atleast atleast are some degree honest about it many many continue to lie and refuse to acknowledge it
