The Astrology of Virgos in Black Liberation: Trans & HIV Activist Marsha P Johnson: Liberation of Body/Mind

The Astrology of Virgos in Black Liberation: Trans & HIV Activist Marsha P Johnson: Liberation of Body/Mind

Marsha P. Johnson was a black “trans” activist who played a major role in LGBTQ+ liberation of the 1970s’. This was during a time where “trans” and “cross-dressers/drag queens” were arrested, institutionalized, and treated as mentally sick and depraved. Marsha P. Johnson was said to have "thrown the first brick" in the Stonewall riots. The riots were between cops & the LGBTQ+ Greenwich Village community at a LGBTQ+ friendly bar, the Stonewall Inn in NYC in 1969 that sparked the Gay Rights Movement. FYI no one is sure who threw the first "brick" "glass".

Marsha P Johnson was a drag queen and and local popular icon fixture in the NYC gay scene and art scene since 1966 having relocated to NYC in 1963 at the age of 18 from her native New Jersey. Marsha P. Johnson was part of the Hot Peaches comedy drag queen troupe. Marsha P. Johnson was very politically and socially active. A founding member of the Gay Liberation Front in 1969 after the riots. In 1970 Marsha P. Johnson co-founded the radical activist group Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (S.T.A.R.), alongside close friend Sylvia Rivera.

Marsha P Johnson Astrology Breakdown

12 pm/unknown August 24th 1945 in Elizabeth, NJ

Sun in 1 Degree Virgo

Moon in 16 Degrees Pisces

Mercury in 24 Degrees Leo retrograde

Venus in 23 Degrees Cancer

Mars in 21 Degrees Gemini

Jupiter in 29 Degrees Virgo

Saturn in 20 Degrees Cancer

Uranus in 17 Degrees Gemini

Neptune in 4 Degrees Libra

Pluto in 10 Degrees Leo

North Node in 6 Degrees Cancer

Chiron in 3 Degrees Libra retrograde

Sun widely conjunct Jupiter in Virgo

Marsha had Sun widely conjunct Jupiter in Virgo.

Growing up in the 1950s’ and 1960s’ Marsha existence was a threat, a source of pain and shame. Growing up in a religious household; Marsha was sexually abused at a young age and made to feel like a freak for being gay. She wanted to live in her true/authentic self for her well-being and mental health.

It’s important to note that Virgo energy has to do with health (physical and mental) being that it’s the traditional ruler of the 6th House. The mind body connection is real and things effecting you internally can manifest externally. Virgo energy knows this and constantly strives to better their mental/physical state.

Though Jupiter is in “detriment” (rolls eyes) in Virgo. It shows Marsha had a larger than life persona. She moved from her small New Jersey town with little money and big dreams to the even bigger Big Apple (NYC). She invested and believed in herself (Jupiter), taking a gamble and creating her own “luck” and fortune.

Marsha however being different and being the time period that she’s in (honestly not that much has changed); she had to struggle. This includes participating in survival sex aka bartering sex for shelter and constantly getting harassed/attacked by men/people/cops.

Mercury widely conjunct Pluto in Leo

Marsha had Mercury widely conjunct Pluto in Leo this meant that her thinking/learning/communicating processes (mercury) were intensified to an obsessive powerful level (Pluto). In Leo Marsha thought of herself as more than she could be and it’s clear she took pride in herself.

Marsha’s voice/persona was powerful, dramatic, and theatrical. Known was the Mayor of Christopher Street (a street in the gay friendly NYC neighborhood of Greenwich Village) It’s important to note that the “P” in her name meant pay it no mind (her trans-ness/different-ness/other-ness. She spoke herself into existence, and loved herself enough to allow herself proudly and shamelessly to exist.

Mercury is supposedly said to be in detriment in Leo because some people believe Mercury is exalted in Aquarius (detriment is the sign opposite the domicile sign). I don’t know but I do see problems with fixed nature of mercury in Leo. A sense of stubbornness (fixedness), arrogance (Leo) in her speech/communication. Especially with intense, shameless, blunt, say it like you mean it Pluto energy. I could definitely see her sense of self-expression being offensive or crass to others.

Sun widely opposite Moon

Marsha's ego was in a tug of war with her emotions. Larger than life, discerning but humble Virgo energy was in struggle with impressionable, emotional sponge Pisces. Pisces moons are often sensitive and empathetic with unpredictable emotions that soak in others’ energy and emotions. The way she reconciles the contradictions in her personality and emotions is to help others, to be a voice for others, and to be out in the front-lines.

Venus, Saturn and North Node in Cancer

Marsha also has a pseudo stellium in Cancer (Venus, Saturn, and North Node in Cancer). I say pseudo stellium because technically North Node is not a planet so its not an official stellium. Remember a stellium is 3 or more PLANETS in one sign or in one house.

Anyways Marsha has an abundance in uber sensitive Cardinal Water energy Cancer. Marsha was constantly searching for a home perhaps in themselves and in their physical bodies

Liberation of body – Marsha had Venus widely conjunct Saturn in Cancer which continues the themes of her finding black liberation through her body. However what she encountered was limitations to her sense of beauty (Venus conjunct Saturn). Marsha lived in a time (again not much has changed) where her being, her beauty and the way she presented herself was targeted violently and belittled.

This probably played with her sense of perception of her beauty and social/physical value. Marsha wanted to be loved and to be accepted for who she was (gender nonconforming) and was met with literal violence and abuse.

Her sense of liberation was finding a home for her being which is very Venus in Cancer.

Not that only but she was also poor which isn’t talked about with Venus. Beauty in the western requires effort and capital. Beauty in western society isn’t just being. It’s effort, hard work, expensive, time consuming, and a constant dance between trends and archetypes.

She had to wear cheap wigs, outfits, and makeup. As a woman nothing brings down and cheapens your beauty with cheap bad wigs and cheap makeup. FYI of course there is more to beauty than the physical and mass consumerism but also appearances are everything as woman. It’s often a performance and an act that we are forced to participate in. The politics of pretty, of beauty are real and there is a power/benefit to looking beautiful/pretty and at the very least “presentable”

Especially as a black women you must look “presentable” so you are not perceived and treated as “ghetto”, “low class aka poor, uneducated” which will give others the courage (more like audacity) to disrespect and discriminate against you.

Marsha as gender conforming/trans she also had to rely on the politics of pretty and not being able to properly fit into it. Regardless Marsha with resourceful Cancer energy made do with what she had.

Marsha with fellow trans activist and close friend Cancer sun Sylvia Rivera

Marsha also had north node in Cancer so her destiny was for her to search and find a family and a spiritual, physical, & emotional home. She was found a sense of family as best as she could with her drag/lesbian/gay/trans Stonewall Inn, comedy group, and Gay liberation Front friends. However the home part wasn’t there, being poor. It’s important to note that home and having roots is an important part of your psyche and growth. How can you feel safe and secure in this world if you don’t have 1 place (even just physical) to be safe in.

Marsha’s trans/dragness, homosexuality, her being poor, and the instability of mental illness kept this from her unfortunately.

Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini

Marsha had Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini which can show the unpredictable votive behavior, split and gender duality/fluidity in Marsha.

Note there is no particular placement in astrology that is coded to show gender duality or mental illness. It’s more of a mixture of life/free will/choice and how energy is directed in individual.

Like Uranus can show neutral, androgynous “gender neutral” energy but it more due to it the nature of Uranus being unpredictable, rebellious, and freedom loving.

That said in Marsha looking at her life story, free will and choice, in my interpretation I am choosing to look at her Mars conjunct Uranus energy.

Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini can denote a chaotic sort of Prince and the prankster, Peter pan, split personality (in a non-vulgar astrology terminology) energy.

I have read that Marsha when she was in her masculine form was sad, violent, chaotic, and aggressive but Marsha in her feminine form was more at peace, loving, and generous. Marsha suffered from drastic mood swings described by friends as “schizophrenic.” These episodes landed her in psych wards, mental institutions, jail, and hospitals several times throughout her life.

Marsha's was Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini squared both her Sun/Jupiter in Virgo & Moon in Pisces which can show her actions (Mars), her sense of personal freedom (Uranus), her sense of abundance/luck/expansion (Jupiter) emotions (Moon), and ego (Sun) were in constant conflict which can further shows her instability.

I also noticed an abundance of mutable energy in her natal placements with 3 out of 4 mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces, and Gemini). This is both good and bad. The good is highly adaptable, always moving/always a need to move, and the ability to bounce back/let go. The bad is mutable energy is very vulnerable sensitive energy and not a solid sense of self/core because of all the changing/adaptability.

Mutable energy dominates need to MOVE in all directions physically/emotionally/financially/spiritually otherwise they remain stuck which is un-natural. I said it before and I will say it again but “stopping in a mutable energy is akin to death like a fish out of water, a heart that stops beating, or the brain without oxygen.

Marsha not just being black and poor kept her stuck, but also being different/trans/gender non-conforming and mentally ill disabled her. If she was given a chance to be who she was, and wasn’t discriminated/targeted, for being black/poor/vulnerable/gender nonconforming and mentally ill she could’ve been more at peace.

Chiron in Libra

Marsha’s wounded healer is her struggle to fit in and to see one’s own beauty reflected in society. Marsha’s sense of liberation and why I chose her as one of the Virgo archetypes of Black Liberation Astrology is because she fought against this. She healed her world by fighting for others like her. Her healing was seeking justice and fighting for a place in this world.

Marsha partnered with other like-minded people and fought to change the perception and social/legal value of black, gay, trans-people. It’s important to note that even during this time (not much as change) Marsha wasn’t even allowed to participate in early gay pride celebrations. To put it bluntly she was seen as an embarrassing freak show and the gay/lesbian organizers want to distance themselves from her/trans/non-conforming people.

It’s important to note that Marsha P Johnson sadly died on mysterious and tragic circumstances in 1992. She was HIV+ positive at the time. Her body was found in the Hudson River. Her close friends believed she was tragically murdered and that the police didn’t investigate because she was seen was worthless. Supposedly witnesses heard her killer bragging in a bar about killing her. The police and some of her other friends at the time believed it was a suicide. Now her death is undetermined.

Regardless of “how” she died justice allude her which is also a case in Black Liberation. It’s ever changing process without a clear end-date. Violence against homosexual (sexual orientation) trans (gender) non-conforming people still happens. Triple if they are black (race) and poor (class). My message is not meant to be political but social.

If you can’t personally fight for others whose “lifestyle” and “being” you morally disagree with, just get out the way. I think it’s important to not stand in the way of others choosing to fight themselves. All we can ask as human beings is to allow others to live not just survive or get by, and to accept others’ different than you to fight for themselves and not get in the way. I think we should be all able to fight for ourselves, our values, and being.

Marsha P. Johnson in Virgo Black Liberation energy symbolizes body autonomy, fighting for and liberating your physical body, the mind/body/black/gender/class poor connection, and fighting for a place in a world that thinks you don’t belong.

The Astrology of Virgos in Black Liberation: Claudette Colvin: Teenage Civil Rights Pioneer

The Astrology of Virgos in Black Liberation: Claudette Colvin: Teenage Civil Rights Pioneer

Claudette Colvin was a young accidental activist who helped challenged Alabama’s bus segregation. Her actions (along with five others) and her testimony helped determine that bus segregation was illegal therefore unconstitutional in Alabama.

She refused to give up her seat and was arrested on March 2nd 1955, on a Birmingham, Alabama bus 9 months before Aquarius sun Rosa Parks famously did it. Claudette was 15 years old at the time. She was a model for early 1950s’ Civil Rights Movement era but her contributions were silenced and forgotten because she was deemed not respectable enough to be the face of the movement.

During this time period she was a poor dark skinned young unwed pregnant teen (who’s baby daddy was suspected to be a married white man) during a time where this was seen as a scandalous, a sin and degenerate character flaws. Note: times haven’t changed much since, except some teen moms are given reality shows to be exploited for fame.

Rosa Parks’s actions were strategic and her image and likeness being a light-skinned, mixed, older (42 years old) respectable timid colored woman was chosen and used by the NAACP to galvanize white and black populations into support of the black 1950s’ Civil Rights’ movement. Rosa Parks took Claudette’s (and others') role, glory, and became the defiant face as the struggle for Civil Rights.

FYI I understand and agree as to why the decision was made to choose Rosa Parks over Claudette. Claudette would have been scrutinized over the 1950s’ social politics of racism, colorism, ageism, sexism, and many other isms had she been selected as a face of the Civil Rights Movement.’ It would have also undermined the Civil Rights movement at the time. However now Claudette’s story deserves to be told.

All this aside I chose Claudette as a Virgo representation for my Astrology of Black Liberation series because her story is very interesting and shows the dual nature of Virgo.

The archetype of Virgo as I mentioned previously is one of a duel dichotomous Virgin/Whore, Virgin Mary/Mary Magdalene, Saint/Sinner complex which is not just a trait of Virgo but also the other mutable signs.

Virgos are seen as this neat button up, orderly, subdued, calm, sign and energy. This is true but Virgos are also messy, wild, sexual, spiritual, and unruly sign and energy too. All the signs are complex and problematic but not all the signs are allowed to be seen as such. Scorpio is seen as just evil. Pisces is seen as just pure and angelic. Some signs aren’t allowed as much grace as others.

Claudette image was problematic but also interesting. All the things that made her problematic also made her iconic. All this aside let’s get into her astrology.

Below are her placements. Please note that her moon sign does changes to Gemini in the evening* I am just going to go with Taurus moon though Gemini moon can fit her too.

Claudette Colvin Astrology Details

September 5th 1939 Montgomery, Alabama.12 pm/birth time unknown.

Sun in 12 Degrees Virgo

Moon in 28 Degrees Taurus (moon changes to Gemini if you use a 9 pm evening birth time)

Mercury in 27 Degrees Leo

Venus in 12 Degrees Virgo

Mars in 25 Degrees Capricorn

Jupiter in 6 Aries (retrograde)

Saturn in 0 Taurus (retrograde)

Uranus in 21 Degrees Taurus (retrograde)

Neptune in 22 Degrees Virgo

Pluto in 2 Degrees Leo

North Node in 1 Degrees Scorpio

Chiron in 17 Degrees Cancer

As you can see Claudette had an Interesting mix of Earthy, mutable, cardinal, fixed, and firey energy.

Virgo stellium with Sun conjunct Venus & Neptune all in Virgo

Claudette had a Virgo stellium with Sun conjunct Venus & Neptune in all Virgo. This shows Claudette’s strong sense of idealism (Neptune) logical, knows right from wrong, have data/knowledge to back it up, radical ideals and ideas. She seems like that type to use what she learned in school and her wisdom against people that disrespect, abuse, or offend her. Watching her interviews you can see she has an agile quick mind and I am sure in her younger years she can argue with someone using logic and facts.

It also seems she possess a quiet confidence, a humble intelligence and charming being. I don’t see her as being an agitator but also don’t see her running from a challenge.

I think during this time (1955) it was a transition period in United States social politics. The NAACP was becoming more prominent and I am sure that after World War II population and economic boom, contributed to blacks wanting more of the “American Dream.” Black men fought for this country too during World War II but they went back to being treated as second class citizens after the war. I am sure during this time they were fed up. They gave their lives, some suffered from shell shock, while watching their white counterparts treated as heroes, benefiting from America’s new wealth with social programs like G.I Bill (to get free education) and cheap affordable housing in new Levittown inspired suburbs.

I think Claudette saw that change, and being a young at the time was influenced by the times, the injustices, had her own thoughts about how the world should be and acted on them without the jaded wisdom that the adults had.

Claudette's Virgo Neptunian idealism wasn't unrealistic and was definitely appropriate for the times.

Grand trine in Earth: Sun/Venus/Neptune in Virgo,

Moon/Saturn/Uranus in Taurus, and Mars in Capricorn.

Claudette had a Grand Trine in Earth. A grand trine is where all the signs of an element is represented a chart. In this case Claudette had all 3 Earth signs with Sun/Venus in Virgo, Moon/Saturn in Taurus and Mars in Capricorn.

This shows that she is very grounded, practical, and solid individual. She has a strong sense of self and her place in her world. Strong earthy types cannot be manipulated easily with words, emotions, or through actions

Moon widely conjunct Saturn and Uranus in Taurus

Watching an interview on YouTube she did with 1010 wins, she expressed that she didn’t think about the consequences. Remember she was 15 at the time she refused to give her seat and was arrested. During this time she could’ve been lynched or her home fire bombed. She wasn’t thinking about that she just saw injustice and was tired of being treated as a subhuman. She didn’t set out for activism, and to influence a movement. She was simply tired coming home from school and didn’t want to get up. The bus wasn’t crowded and the white woman wasn’t old or crippled. The white woman that demanded she get up was just purposefully being unreasonable and flexing her privilege.

I think what makes Claudette unique was in those moments she wasn’t going to be bullied or pushed around.

Claudette having Moon widely conjunct her Saturn and Uranus all in Taurus is very fitting. I can see Claudette having an inner quiet rebellious spirit with independent fixed emotions that isn’t easily convinced or swayed. She was tired (physically and emotionally) and she wasn’t getting let Jim Crow keep her from her rest. We all have those days when she are sick and tired of the “rules.” However in this situation these “rules” were ridiculous and wrong.

This also shows Claudette is stubborn as hell, headstrong, confident, hard-working with a strong constitution. Moon in Taurus is “exalted” so her emotions are seen as stable and appropriate. Taurus energy is notoriously tenacious and are do not get enough credit for. When a fixed moon (especially a Taurus moon!) emotions are strong enough, they will not budge or be flexible. There is no talking out, adapting, changing, or compromising. Especially when it backed by an equally rebellious and chaotic Uranus in Taurus and a disciplined, poised, and persistent Saturn in Taurus that kept her Uranus energy under control.

Mars in Capricorn opposite Chiron in Cancer

I think Mars in Capricorn plays an important role in her actions too. Mars is exalted in Capricorn. Mars in Capricorn energy keeps their head down and work hard. They aren’t passive aggressive or overtly emotional, they aren’t detached and argumentative, or quick to use violence and intimidation.

Mars in Capricorn literally doesn’t have time for all that bullshit. Mars in Capricorn prides itself on showing self-discipline, and keeping calm in crazy or unfair situations. Mars in Capricorn is mature respectable energy.

It’s amazing because unlike the newspaper lies about the incident. Claudette didn’t argue, curse, or physically attacked the police officers. FYI I believe her side of the story. She was terrified of the officers and didn’t want to be raped or lynched. Teenagers were generally also different (more respectful to authority/elders) during this time (1950s”) than now (2020).

What makes her situation different is that she decided to fight her situation legally which was unusual at the time. She got a lawyer involved and sued (along with 5 other plaintiffs who had done the same and were arrested/punished for it). The federal court case was Browder vs Gayle that commenced on Aquarius season on February 1st 1956. It went up to the Supreme Court and on Gemini season on June 13th 1956 bus segregation was abolished and deemed unconstitutional.

It took intelligence, strength, and wisdom for her to go through the legal process and seek the guidance of those older than her.

This is big Mars in Capricorn BOSS ASS energy (getting the LAW/ENFORCERS involved). Going to the higher ups and fighting within the system, and winning.

It’s also important to note that Claudette’s Mars in Capricorn is opposite her Chiron in Cancer. Her actions (Mars) seemed to activate her wounded healer (Chiron in Cancer) which was linked to her literally being a young mother and her place in history being smudged out because of it.

It’s important to note she was not pregnant during the bus incident, but later became pregnant and gave birth a year later in March 1956.

She punished for her pregnancy: she was a poor unwed teen mom. Her image wasn’t respectable enough which led to fighting for years to be recognized and be respected for her actions.

Rosa Parks actions were directly inspired by her and others actions. This is not to take away from Rosa Parks and her legacy, which is great, powerful, inspiring, and deserving. Even Rosa Parks knew this and is quoted  saying "If the white press got ahold of that information, they would have [had] a field day. They'd call her a bad girl, and her case wouldn't have a chance."

Claudette’s actions played a significant role that helped spark protest/change. Claudette’s youthful defiant spirit and bravery inspired grown educated and experienced adults much older than her into action. Her light, her actions were dimmed and she deserves her due.

I am saying that she deserved her just due NOT for clout or ego or contrived materialistic/monetary gains. Claudette Colvin deserved her just due because

1. her actions inspired the Montgomery bus boycott AND lead to the abolishment of bus discrimination and segregation.

2. She put herself in a vulnerable and unsafe position due to her bravery.

She had to flee her home and move up North to NYC (the Bronx specifically) in 1958. She left her home to save her life. This was a time again were blacks were being beaten, kidnapped from their homes and lynched, and/or their businesses, churches, and homes where being fire bombed for fighting back against racism. Her child could've been motherless due to the racist reactions to her activism.

It’s also important to note that she is 81 now and she later became a nurse. She used her Chiron in Cancer (and Virgo energy) to devote her life to caring for others which is just amazing and further shows her character and adaptability.

Mercury widely conjunct Pluto all in Leo & widely trine Jupiter in Aries

I think these set of placements is the icing on the cake for Claudette Colvin. Not only her youthful energy and idealistic outlook with her Sun conjunct Venus & Neptune in Virgo but also her Mercury widely conjunct Pluto all in Leo & widely trine Jupiter in Aries

Her Mercury widely conjunct Pluto all in Leo shows she was confident, proud, and thought of herself as more than who she was coded by society to be. Mercury in Leo values, loves, speaks and thinks highly of themselves. Especially with a wide conjunction with Pluto in Leo I don’t think she had an inferiority complex and she knew her mind and voice was her power and her gift.

Especially with Mercury widely trine Jupiter in Aries Claudette had an optimistic warrior attitude. I think this mentality kept her safe. Remember this was a time again were blacks were being beaten, kidnapped from their homes and lynched, and/or their businesses, churches, and homes where being fire bombed.

I have to keep stressing, repeating and emphasizing this because she was so young during this time and those were the potential consequences of her refusing to get up and legally fighting the system. DEATH. Look at Claudette's own perspective on her actions in this powerful quote, "History kept me stuck to my seat. I felt the hand of Harriet Tubman pushing down on one shoulder and Sojourner Truth pushing down on the other."

As a 15 year old during Jim Crow 1950s’ Claudette’s mind had to be strong, and rely on faith to carry herself through this time period. Her Mercury widely trine Jupiter in Aries shows this and I think greatly helped her.

Overall I think Claudette is a great example of Virgos in Black Liberation because her actions could be seen as passive but they were more than that. Virgo is a feminine Earth mutable sign. It’s receptive and passive. Passive isn’t a bad thing, it’s just a mode of action. Passive allows you to take in energy and ideas in a slower more intimate way.

Virgo energy is intelligent, curious, and mercurial and is always learning and improving. Claudette was young and she didn’t think fully about the consequences of her actions. But Claudette represented the youthful, ageless spirit of change, growth, and reform. Claudette’s active and strong passive defiance, her intelligence, practical grounded strength, and her ability to adapt is Virgo liberation energy.

Virgo Michael Jackson: A Brief Look at the King of Pop's Natal Chart & Astrology

Virgo Michael Jackson:

A Brief Look at the King of Pop's Natal Chart & Astrology

Reflecting on the song and music videos for Michael Jackson's 1995 They Don't Care about Us (Prison Version) and how relevant his message is today in the light of prison/police reform, and police brutality protests. This is song was a social message that spoke out against the prison industrial complex. A sleeper ironic song that was not ahead of its time but definitely ahead of the trend of social justice pandering by musicians to sell records. Looking into Michael Jackson’s songs led me into wanting to check out his natal chart.

I have looked at it several times over the years and I notice patterns. A stellium in Leo, a Virgo/Pisces axis opposition, and an abundance of heavy fixed energy. Breaking down his natal chart, I have decided to ignore the ascendant because majority of the time celebrity ascendants are not as reliable.

If you are interested Michael Jackson’s Ascendant is 10 Degrees Pisces and MC is 19 Degrees Sagittarius. I agree with this ascendant/MC and it fits for me, but you be your own judge. All that side below are his astrology placements.

Sun in 6 Degrees Virgo

Moon in 14 Degrees Pisces

Venus in 17 Degrees Leo

Mercury in 25 Degrees Leo (retrograde)

Mars in 22 Degrees Taurus

Jupiter in 28 Degrees Libra

Saturn in 19 Degree Sagittarius

Uranus in 13 Degrees Leo

Neptune in 2 Degrees Scorpio

Pluto in 2 Degrees Virgo

North Node in 24 Degrees Libra (retrograde)

Chiron in 19 Degrees Aquarius (retrograde)

Sun in Virgo opposite Moon in Pisces

Sun wide conjunct Pluto in Virgo

Michael has a Sun opposite Moon which means there are conflicts between his ego and emotions. His ego (Sun) operates in complete opposition with emotions & habits (moon). Virgo is discerning, Pisces is trusting. Virgo is organized and disciplined, and Pisces is disorganized and undisciplined. I think Virgo/Pisces is one of the hardest oppositions out there. Michael probably felt out of control emotionally but way able to balance himself out through his rational ego

A way to cope with his opposition is finding the commonality between the 2 different sides. As I stated several times before oppositions between signs is when signs go for what they want in the opposite way.

In this case both Virgo and Pisces energy meet in the fact both wants to help and heal others. Virgo helps and heals others through healthcare/diet/fitness routines/knowledge, their organizational/rational abilities, and their ability to discern and process information/data.

Pisces helps and heals others through their using their physical bodies as vessels, empathy/putting themselves in others shoes’, self-sacrifice, and through their neutral emotional vulnerability/sensitivity.

In Michael he uses the organized, disciplined, humbled, curious/mercurial Virgo side energy (ego) and his empathetic/emotional sponge side (emotions/habits) to heal others through his music and dancing.

To take it a notch further Michael Jackson has an enhanced Sun with Sun forming a conjunction with his Pluto in Virgo. Michael’s Sun is enhanced with personal power that transforms itself into collective power (Pluto). Pluto enhances his sun, making him very intense, focused, obsessive, focus on perfection and excellence

He lives and breathes dancing, singing, and entertaining to the point where it unfortunately cost him his life. FYI I am not blaming him at all. I am just saying that he literally sacrifice his health for his craft and his fans. The perfectionist tendencies are amplified with Pluto.

Stellium in Leo

Venus conjunct Mercury & Uranus all in Leo.

Michael’s Leo stellium supports his Virgo Sun, Pisces Moon energy with healing and entertaining others. Michael took pride as an entertainer (Leo), rebelliously entertaining while breaking barriers with his talents (Uranus).

I feel apart of him enjoyed the fame and basked in because it allowed him to entertain people, forget his troubles, and bask in his own glory and legacy

He created trends and people either fans, stans, or casual listeners that admire and imitated him (Venus). People have copied his style, his singing, his dance moves and can never come in close to having his talent or his original artistry.

His Remember the Times video and being called the King of Pop is big Leo energy though his Sun conjunct Pluto in Virgo.

Michael Jackson’s talent gave him pride, an ego boost, and confidence which allowed him to be loved/admired (Venus), be a popular trendsetter and legend (Uranus), and communicate who he was through his words/music/image in Leo.

Mars in Taurus

It’s important to note Michael Jackson has Mars in Taurus (squaring his Leo stellium). I think his Mars in Taurus (trining his Sun/Pluto in Virgo) humbled, and grounded his energy. Mars in Taurus further pushed his vocal abilities and also focused his agile mutable/Virgo energy into something more solid and fixed.

If you also noticed in some of his dance movements there can be very primal, sensual and very sexual. Look at his In the Closet video with Naomi Campbell or his signature moves of grabbing his crotch, grunting, and saying hehe-ing. He has a weirdly attractive boyish androgynous sexual/sensual charm and aura to him.

Chiron in Aquarius trine North Node in Libra

Regardless of his talents, gifts, and popularity Michael battled his personal demons (some of which I won’t get into). He had a Plutonic transformation on the set of a Pepsi commercial where he was injured and suffered serious burns. This partially helped led to his life-long obsession with plastic surgery and transforming himself into someone unrecognizable.

Regardless Michael Jackson was also running from his childhood trauma, his Leo sun stage parent and abuser Joe Jackson that left a profound effect on his psyche and maturity.

Michael suffered from a sort of arrested development Peter Pan like PTSD trauma existence whose fame and talents couldn’t out run.

Michael Jackson’s wounded healer, Chiron, is in Aquarius. He was able to heal and bring world together through his image/persona but still felt like an alien/outsider. He couldn’t heal his own wounds through others. Michael Jackson’s Chiron in Aquarius was also trine his North Node in Libra.

North Node in Libra showed his destiny and life mission was via, relationships, partnerships (HELLO Jackson 5) and developing relationships with others for collective power. Michael was a child star who was in a music group with his siblings. His early career and breakout centered on his efforts he made with is siblings.

He hone his entertainment and showmanship abilities via the Jackson Five which is very North Node in Libra. Libra is a sign and energy that is better with others than alone. In Michael’s case his stellium in Leo (Venus, Mercury and Uranus) sextiled North Node in Libra so it supported his solo efforts which is very ideal for Leo energy and being centered stage/in the spotlight.

North Node in Libra trining Chiron in Aquarius mean he had the tools to use his destiny (North Node) in entertainment/partnerships/relationships with other people to heal himself (Chiron).

Overall I think most of his issues are not related solely on his Chiron but

1.   The price of fame (overexposure/loneliness, no privacy/time, energy vampires/users/enablers, and living up to expectations/image/money making abilities).
2. The intensity of his Virgo energy and the sensitivity of Pisces energy aka Virgo/Pisces oppositions.

I don’t think he wanted to disappoint or let anyone down himself included. He kept going, couldn’t stop, and felt like he needed drugs to enhance his talents and keep up with his grueling life/career schedule. This is common for celebrities but not everyone can get away with it.

I think if he allowed himself to rest and not feel so obligated to everyone (big Virgo/Pisces energy) he could’ve got help. I noticed in Virgo/Pisces oppositions energy is that they can be everything for everyone else but they often suffer in silence and can’t receive/ask for proper help. Virgo thinks it work its way out of help and just improve/be better. While Pisces feels it can love its way out of help by self-sacrificing itself and empathizing/loving harder. That’s why I think Virgo/Pisces energy is one of the hardest oppositions out there.

Overall this is my interpretation of Michael Jackson’s Virgo and overall astrology energy.
