Runner-Up: Aretha Franklin
Don't worry, before I get into the Queen of Aries Shade, I am going to mention the runner up, who is none other than Ms. Aretha Franklin. Old people throw the best shade and Aretha Franklin is no exception. Aretha's shade is A1 sauce, here's a link. Even so, Aretha's is not as entertaining as Mariah's shade. Here's why.
Aries shade is quick, directed, blunt, and straightforward (as straightforward as shade can be). It's not just about the sign but about the combination. Mariah Carey has a Taurus Ascendant (Venus rising), Mars in Taurus in the 1st House, Scorpio Moon, and Mercury in Aries the 12th House. All of these placements doesn't automatically make someone shady. Even so, the music industry is a bit fake aka a lot of shit goes down behind closed doors.

With these placements I see why she turns to shade. I am not 100% comfortable with Taurus rising for her, as astrotheme is not that reliable with popular celebrities rising signs.
