I am surprised and a bit disappointed that I didn't find that much shade examples from RuPaul, the world's most famous drag star and Gay Cultural Icon. BTW I was going with Kathy Griffin, the Scorpio comedian, but I decided against it. Partly because she's a comedian, so that kinda like cheating. But more importantly because RuPaul is a BLACK, GAY ICON, two identities that are the founding ingredients/communities of the cultural significance known as shade.
Let's get into some astrology now. Astrotheme profile link here. I will be focusing on:
Sun, Moon, & Mercury in Scorpio
Pluto in Virgo/Uranus in Leo in the 3rd House
Venus in Capricorn in the 7th House
Mars in Cancer in the 1st House
Gemini Ascendant
Sun, Moon, & Mercury in Scorpio
RuPaul has a stellium in Scorpio. This concentration of Scorpio planets makes him intense, deep, and insightful. He sees all and forgets nothing. Making him the best person to dish shade out. Btw this doesn't mean he does it all the time, but when he does, have your Kleenex ready, boo!
Pluto in Virgo/Uranus in Leo in the 3rd House
Pluto in Virgo in the 3rd House
This placement SCREAMS shade. Pluto in Virgo in the 3rd House makes for someone that wields enormous power when it comes to communication. This also signifies an obsessive need to communicate, to be hear, and for his words/opinions to be respected, seen as valuable and power. Overall naturally his words can hurt (Scorpio mercury) but with Pluto in Virgo his words can hurt in all the right places. Talk about precision, hunnity!.
Uranus in Leo in the 3rd House
|
HIS MASCULINE LOOK IS JUST AS SHADY |
While Uranus (rebelliousness/independence) in flamboyant and dramatic Leo, can give way to a creative & unique communicator that is all for theatrics and expressing one's individuality through communications. AKA Creative SHADE.
Venus in Capricorn in the 7th House
Here Venus in Capricorn is business minded, class oriented, slightly repressed and focused on building and maintaining relationships. Here Venus is socially conscious/sensitive, prone to people pleasing, and is all about pleasure/harmony. This is why one may choose to throw shade. To display displeasure/anger without causing too much drama or making a big scene. Some may see this as passive aggressive but this placement is very much about keeping the peace and keeping things light.
Mars in Cancer in the 1st House
This placement is emotional and is the defining ingredient in his unique recipe and brand of SHADE. The stoic-ness of Venus in Capricorn and the secretiveness of his Scorpio stellium gets cancelled out with Mars in Cancer. Mars in Cancer cardinal energy reacts quicker and can't let things fester too long. This is especially turn since RuPaul's Mars is in such a public place (the first house). This makes it very active, dynamic and in your face. He can throw it, dish it, and serve it with ease.
Gemini Ascendant
This is a lighthearted placement (like Venus in Capricorn in the 7th House). Very communicative and curious, this placement lightens up RuPaul's intense and serious chart. Gemini is naturally a wordsmith, so it can throw shade all day and can talk it's way out of fisticuffs.
Anyway this is the end (obviously). Happy Belated Bday to RuPaul (his birthday was yesterday). As I get closer to the end of my Ode to the QUEEN/KING of Insert Sign here SHADE it is important to note that there isn't a specific shade placement, it's a collective of different kinds of placements and one's individuality/experiences. I feel I have to put this Politically Correct (PC) disclaimer for the butt-hurt people btw I look out for all my butt-hurt peoples.
I still have Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces shade.
