A Symptom of the Age of Aquarius: The Current State of US Politics & Culture.

Bipartisanship is dead. Freedom of speech is dead. Liberals are crazy. Conservatives are racist. SJWs. Tea Party Movement. Black Lives Matter. Standing Rock. Abortion. Trump as President. #notmypresident. Feminism. Respectability Politics. Police Brutality. Conspiracy Theories. Oppression Olympics. White Privilege. Tomi Lahren. LGBTQ-Trans Rights!! Occupy Wall Street. Revolution. Resistance. Blah Blah Blah.

A lot of wild things have been brewing in American Politics and Culture for years. I’m confused by all of this. Even so, the more I think about it the more it seems to be a Symptom of the Age of Aquarius. As some of you know we are in the Age of Aquarius now. I don’t know if it’s full fledge but I honestly think that perhaps the age of Aquarius started in the 1960s. The dates of the Age of Aquarius is very debatable and not even sure. 

Regardless we are at least at the beginning of the Age of Aquarius and with that adjustments need to be made. A lot of us like to think that during the Age of Aquarius everyone is going to be on some hippy dippy We are the World, One Love, give peace a chance type shit. But that’s not necessarily true or the reality (as of now anyway). We are in transition. 

Aquarius is a fixed sign and hence stubborn and inflexible. As open-minded and tolerant Aquarius is, it is set in its beliefs and convictions. Which is what I think is playing out now in the world. Certain populations and groups of people are tapped into the collective consciousness and are mad as hell. Remember Pluto in Scorpio generation are of age and is taking control now, so there’s this intense concentration of energy that is acting out. The world’s fucked up, I am fucked up, you are fucked up, we need to change everything now mentality. 

The internal fixed energy in a generation of souls, reinforced by Age of Aquarius energy battling all the other energies (aka the older Pluto generations, Pluto in Cancer, Leo, Virgo, and Libra) and also fighting the remnants of the Age of Pisces (organized religion, believing what we were/are told, relying on the fragile, vulnerability of faith, etc.) 

So there’s a sense of urgency, a sense of purpose, and also a sense of fixidity/dogmatic stubbornness that is very Aquarian. Of course it’s more nuanced than this. Factor in transpersonal planetary transits including Saturn in Scorpio, Saturn in Sagittarius (2014-2017), Pluto in Capricorn (2008-2025) and Neptune in Pisces (2011-2018). Energy wise it’s this big cluster fuck of WTF.

I’m right, you’re wrong shut up. No one wants to talk, or listen. All this is self-interest and selfishness (which isn’t bad at all). BUT then factor in the crisis of faith that Saturn in Sagittarius squaring Neptune in Pisces and it becomes this delusional slush of insanity. That makes of us want to hold on to something (like beliefs, values) for dear life before we fear melting into a pile of existential bile.

Ode to QUEEN of Aquarius Shade: Kenya Moore

This one is long overdue and hard for me to write because I couldn't think of good examples of Aquarius celebrities and reality stars throwing shade. Maybe Brandy throwing shade at Monica. Maybe Etta James throwing shade at Beyonce. But these celebrities are not known for throwing shade. Like they have to be known and they can’t be comedians (otherwise Chris Rock would’ve definitely been on here).

Anyway I chose Kenya Moore because she’s an Aquarius and she’s on a popular reality show. FYI I don’t know why but I keep calling her Kendra Moore in my head. I don’t know much about her other than she was a Miss Universe? Pageant person, Gone with the Wind Fabulous and a video girl for Jay Z? Anyway gonna keep this short and sweet.

Capricorn moon & mercury conjunct

Kenya Moore’s brand of shade seems to be one “trying” to be classy. Read Bougie and holier than thou’ shade. Attacking someone’s worth, status, possessions and money which makes sense considering her Capricorn moon & mercury conjunction. Her shade could be similar to Capricorn sun Tiffany “New York” Pollard; except Kenya shade is a bit dry, not funny or entertaining and is kinda lame. Halfway through writing this I am thinking that Drita from Mob Wives is much better choice. Oh well Drita I will use you for something else.

Capricorn moon & mercury conjunction alone is not a traditionally shady position in my opinion. Capricorn energy is direct, serious, and prefers to be level headed and without the emotions and dramatics which is so opposite of shade. People with Capricorn energy probably feel that shade is beneath them and considers such actions low class.

Venus and Neptune conjunct & Mars conjunct Jupiter & Neptune all in Sagittarius

Kenya will be completely ruthless and cold if it wasn’t for her Venus and Neptune conjunct & Mars conjunct Jupiter & Neptune all in Sagittarius. Man that was mouthful. She has a stellium in Sagittarius. Watching clips for research I honestly don’t think Kenya wants to fuss, fight or throw shade. An abundance of Sagittarius energy is prone to restlessness, getting angry quickly but recovering even faster.  I don’t see shade much here. 

Uranus in Libra Retrograde

Uranus in Libra rebels in Libra like ways. Passive-aggression, fairness, and superficiality. She sees herself as classy and tries to keep her shade "classy." That doesn’t always work out because her mercury squares Uranus, making for erratic communications.

Here's my take on the astrology of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why two main characters.

Hannah

Libra sun

Reasons Why: Desperately wanted to fit in, focus on friendships, boys and relationships. Constantly searching for someone to relate to. Cared too much what others thought. Subject of rumors, jealousy, and hate. Interested in getting along. Attractive to the boys (and a girl!) in her school and sexualized by them.

Pisces Moon

Reasons Why: No clear sense of boundaries with others. Willingness to break boundaries so she can give people second chances. Give people too many second chances. Super sensitive. Cared too much what others thought. Inability to protect herself from others and herself. Couldn’t tell the difference between real friends and fake friends. Naïve. More willing to sacrifice herself than stand up for herself. Trusting to her own detriment.

Cancer Rising

Reasons Why: Uber sensitive and moody. Shy. Oddly loyal and kind to her "friends" and still considered them friends when clearly they didn't give two shits about her. Cardinal self-starter, often initiated interactions with others.  Curvy and penchant for sweets when sad/emotional. Looks emotional.

Mars

Reasons Why: Didn't know how to properly stand up for herself. Reacted emotionally (but not violently or rarely reactive). More introspective. Very sensitive.

Subject to bullying, humiliation, stalking, violence, rape and then suicide (her own). A lot of projection and attracts untrustworthy and shady people. Repressed anger and aggression. Sexualized by others.

Also because of Dark Revenge aspects to her suicide. She made the ultimate sacrifice.  Sacrifice herself perhaps the only way she thought this was how to stand up for herself.

Clay

Sun in Capricorn

Reasons Why: Serious, outsider and awkward loner but he thought for himself. Had his own ideas and opinions. Studious. Mental Issues and Emotional (random but perhaps has Mercury in Scorpio). Plain looking and short. Oddly blossoms from Hannah's death. #Capricorn+Saturn=Death.

Mars and Venus in Aquarius

Reasons Why: Clay liked Hannah but was shy, respectful, and gave her space. He didn’t come onto to her or flirt treated her much like a friend than a love interest or crush. Strangely detached and acted like a witness. Bullied so his outsider loner persona has a rebellious and bold twist to it.

Earth Moon: Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo. Maybe Leo moon

Reasons Why: Shy and Emotional but direct about it. Didn’t hide his feelings or dissatisfaction. Wanted to do something as he listened to the tape. Definitely not afraid of confrontation. Feelings take a physical toll on his body. Mature for his age. Intensely loyal to Hannah.
