Aries vs Aquarius: Who is more of an independent rebel?

I'm an Aries so I naturally think in comparison and competition. Aries seems warlike and always ready to compete ( that is true) but honestly we are competing with ourselves. We are just using you to do so. You are a placeholder for ourselves.

That aside when I was writing about La Corona I mention a lot about Aquarius (Saturn) and with it now being Aries season I can't help but think about the similarities and differences between Aries and Aquarius.

In my Aries way of thinking its versus. Who is more of an independent rebel? Spoiler of course I am gonna pick Aries.  Si, yes yes I'm biased and competitive so Aries must win.

Aquarius is a more evolved, detached, wiser, more boring, less energetic, and possibly sociopathic version of Aries. This is a low key but high key drag of Aquarius. Sorry bish.

Anyways Aries and Aquarius are similar and different in many ways. Plus as someone who has both Aries and Aquarius planets and energies in her can relate.  I thought I'll explore these differences.

The differences between the two

Aries as the first sign. As a Cardinal Fire sign is much more freer in terms of nature and personality to be an independent rebel. Aries as a Cardinal sign is a self starter, a path layer, an explorer. It's excitable, passionate and full of energy. It doesn't have limits or songs of experience because it is a baby. It doesn't know any better but to be itself. Aries phrase is I am. We exist we are here, we don't have to develop because we don't have the wisdom of living life to interfere with our ego. That's probably a main reason why the Sun is exalted in Aries. Its not inhibited or repressed. It hadn't have a chance yet to become that way. Plus with Mars as its ruler god of War it is not confined by pleasantries or social graces.

As opposed to Aquarius. Aquarius is the second to last sign. It's a fixed Air Sign. Its free (air) but limited in its fixed quality. Its learned, experienced, highly intelligent and low key psychic. Its the 11th sign so it's older, less energetic, sometimes bitter but wiser and detached. Its on its last hurrah before it gives away its energy to Pisces who will dies.

Its Dumbledore both protecting and antagonizing Harry Potter. An old wizard who knows it's time is almost up.

To repeat what i said in my other post

Aquarius is a rebel outsider (Uranus) but at the same time is a social air sign that needs to communicate. Aquarius fights for freedom and independence but knows that it is not possible because we are individuals in a community (Saturn).

Aquarius swings between its rebellious flighty phases (Uranus & Air sign) and its acceptance/social phases (Saturn & air sign). Aquarius doesn't choose. It doesn't need to balance between the 2 natures because it lives within itself. This is the fixed nature. The quality that maintains and manages what Aries started. It doesn't need to start (Cardinal Aries) and doesn't need to move or change (Mutable). Aquarius needs to be.

Aries and Aquarius rebels in different ways and for different reasons.

Aries rebels because it can, it will and your bitch ass won't stop it. It wants to and if you try to stop it, violence is not far. Rebel without a cause. Aries is independence for independence sake. It's individuality and rebellion for individuality and rebellion's sake. Aries is the cause. Aries doesn't need a reason. Rams don't need a reason to ram, it's it's nature.

Aquarius rebels because it is a necessary evil. Individuality is important and socializing and standing up for society is also important.

Aquarius is a Rebel with a cause

Low key this is (ironic and iconic because of Aquarius James Dean starmaker old Hollywood movie, Rebel Without a Cause). More ironic and synchronicitistic because Aquarius Sun James Dean has an Aries Rising and Uranus.

Aquarius is a rebel with a cause. Aquarius with it's fixed, experienced nature knows how life works and knows you must fight with like minded people to defend and maintain your social and societal independence.

Similarities between Aries and Aquarius  are it's ego and the way they express their independent rebellious nature.

Both are confident and unapologetic and unshamed of showing and expressing their individuality.

Aries and Aquariuses have huge egos. Ego is not a bad thing, its who we are. Both Aries and Aquarius have a presence (ego).

These signs sextile each other so they are friends and will support each other's similarities and differences without it being much of a threat or problem.

Overall both Aries and Aquarius are different kind of independent rebels. You can't truly compare it and that is ok. Comparison is the thief of joy and Aries and Aquarius is too fly to be competing. We can all shine.

All this aside I still think Aries is the winner. Haha, i had to!

For some superficial non Rona news, let’s talk about the viral “fist fight” that happened between sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kim K. I saw this floating around YouTube and watched it. Honestly I thought it was funny and still do. I don’t like giving attention (aka clout and views to Kardashians) but unfortunately we are stuck with them for the unforeseeable future. What struck me is this is great example of how oppositions act, react and attack.

Kim K has been in the gossip news recently due to her ongoing feud with Taylor Shift (well Swift but really Shift ;). Well Kim inserted herself in 10+ year ongoing beef between her Gemini husssbands Kanye and Sagittarius Taylor Swift (which is perfect of how oppositions work and I have wrong several blog posts about this combination of opposition at work including the epic Shether diss record between Sagittarius Nicki Minaj and Gemini Remy Ma)

Before I talk specifically about Kim and Kourtney let me spill some Kardashian-Jenner tea. Supposedly and allegedly Kris Jenner is a narcissist. Apparently with narcissist parents they often choose a golden child, a scapegoat child, and a forgotten/ignored child. In the family dynamics narcissist parents choose the golden child as an extension of themselves and put all their own dreams, fantasies and goals onto their kids. The narcissist parent uses the scapegoat child as a way to deflect from their shortcomings and as a way to blame them for their own faults. There is also the forgotten child too but none cares about them, so?. The narcissist parent’s love is conditional and it can be taken away if the narcissist parent is displeased or challenged by the child. The narcissist parent pits their children against each other and makes them fight for a spot of their love. It’s clear for everyone to see including Stevie Wonder that Kim is Kris’s favorite child and the golden child. Kim gave and continues to give Kris want she always wanted which was FAME and money. This plays into how the siblings interact with each other.

It’s Aries season and well Kourtney is an Aries so this physical altercation is so fitting for this energy time. Kim is a Libra so off the bat there is tension. Aries and Libra are Cardinal opposite signs. Kourtney is elder sister and Kim is like a year younger so they can honestly be hood twins (born one year apart).

Kourtney has been tired of Keeping up with the Kardashians and reality/fame shit and sees Kim K as annoying, vain, superficial and arrogant.  Kourtney has been their done that and she’s checked out and over it the Kardashian brand.

Kim probably sees Kourtney as an ungrateful, mean, lazy, and selfish. Kim is the main breadwinner for the family, an acute businesswoman, and is clearly very into the fame aspect of her brand.

This is where the other set of oppositions come in. Kourtney has a Venus in Pisces and Kim has a Venus in Virgo. In relationships they act in opposite ways and their sense of values and beauty.

Venus in Virgo is overtly critical, needs things to be perfect and has very high standards. Venus in Pisces has a hard time developing healthy boundaries, can be a push over, highly empathetic, and doesn’t have the high standards and feel the need criticize others. Where Venus in Virgo and Venus in Pisces meet is their tendency to want to help, support people and be willing to martyrs for their causes and other people. Virgo and Pisces also have a weird thing about idealizing people but in opposite ways. Pisces idealization is based off of the fantasy of imperfection and Virgo's idealization is based of reality and the pursuit of perfection.

Kim’s sense of beauty, value, and relationship style is very curated, precise with A LOT OF HARD WORK AND EFFORT while Kourtney takes on a more natural, effortless value, beauty, and relationship style. 

Kim’s the Beyonce (Virgo) and Kourtney is the Rihanna (Pisces) of their family. Random but look at the tragic deaths of Pisces/Virgo influenced people, Michael Jackson (Virgo Sun, Pisces Moon). Kurt Cobain (Pisces Sun, Virgo rising with stelliums in Virgo and Pisces).

Kim actually has a Virgo/Pisces opposition within herself with a Pisces Moon and Venus conjunct Jupiter in Virgo. She’s in opposition with her feelings/emotions/habits (moon), her sense of values, beauty, and relationships (Venus). and also in opposition of her need of expansion, higher knowledge, beliefs, and luck (Jupiter).

Kourtney also has a loose very Virgo/Pisces opposition with her Ascendant and Venus in Pisces and her Saturn in Virgo.

As I mention is she is “golden child” and the main breadwinner of the family so she probably has a lot of pressure to keep up the image and carry the family. As a Libra sun Kim probably thinks it’s only fair that her family does the same. At the same time she gave herself that pressure and fails to see that some members of her family doesn’t want or value the same things she does and that she can’t force them to care. Even if it’s for the “family”.

Anyways Kourtney snapped and was tired of hearing Kim Kardashian’s smart ass mouth. If you noticed Kim made a shady and mean comment that caused Kourtney to snap and lash out violently. I have seen many different clips of the arguments she has with Kourtney. Kim is always complaining, commenting about Kourtney’s work ethic and hence looks down on her and criticizes her. Sometimes violence is the answer, not the first answer BUT THE LAST. Kourtney as a Mars in Aries so her hands were the answer in that moment. BTW Kim has Mars in Sagittarius so she was ready to take Kourtney on

Kim had it coming honestly. Kim has a Scorpio mercury so she can be passive aggressive with biting/stinging words. Kim let her mouth write a check that her ass couldn’t cash. Kourtney as an Aries mercury wasn’t here for the BS.

Not sure where Kourtney falls in the family dynamic based on the theory that Kris is a narcissist but Kourtney is clearly one of the more independent minded ones in the family. She doesn’t do what her mom always tells her and clearly isn’t as invested into the family as Kim or Cancer Khloe is.

Kourtney is an Aries Sun with a Capricorn moon so her Sun is squaring her Moon. This can make her appear as a mean cold bitch (and maybe she is). Capricorn moons often hide their vulnerability and use a cold harden exterior to protect themselves. Add Aries Sun, and criticism and attacks on their character and a slam and slap sundae will happen.

Kourtney has a Capricorn moon while Kim has a Pisces Moon. Kim can definitely be sensitive and receptive if she doesn’t allow her Venus conjunct Jupiter in Virgo to take over. Kourtney needs to learn to express and communicate her feelings more. Kourtney and Kim have a Pisces connection in that Kim is Pisces Moon and Kourtney is a Venus in Pisces.

The difference between the two is Pisces moon is emotionally sensitive open, empathetic and prone to be emotionally manipulated and emotionally manipulate others while Venus in Pisces is all those things in relationships with others. They are both capable of empathizing and emotionally sensitivity. Kim needs boundaries with her feelings/emotions and Kourtney needs to establish them in her relationships.

I think Kim as the golden child never developed the ability to allow herself to truly put herself in other’s shoes and Kourtney never developed the ability to be allow herself to be vulnerable and express her true feelings and emotions. This being a recipe for a disaster and probably a main factor in their “fist fight”.

Overall it’s April, and it’s Aries season. A lesson for all of us is to try to mind our business, STAY THE F INSIDE and keep our mouths shut.

It's interesting that there is a firestorm of people accusing Aquarius Sun Ellen DeGeneres of being mean and cruel. It's interesting because not too long ago everyone was throwing shade and clowning Oprah for tripping over her feet and falling on her ass after talking about "balance." #karma, #kobeandMJgettingonthatazzfrombeyondthegrave.

It's interesting because these are some of the most beloved (catch my pun bitch #RIPAquarianToniMorrison) celebrities. Are Aquarius Suns under attack? Is this a trend?

People also came at Oprah through her special friend Capricorn Sun Gayle King. After Gayle's disaster interview with Women's basketball legend Lisa Leslie. Gayle brought up Kobe Bryant's rape allegations to Cancer Sun Lisa Leslie who was friends with Virgo Sun Kobe Bryant. People accused Gayle King of trying to destroy Kobe Bryant's legacy, being insensitive for reasons of it being too soon and not allowing his family to mourn him, plus the dead can't defend themselves). People accused Gayle of being opportunistic and trying to sensationalize or throw spice into the interview for views and clicks. People also accused Gayle of being a coon and a shill for white supremacy.

Where Aquarius Sun Oprah comes in is guilty by association. Aka who you surround yourself with is a reflection of your character mentality. There was also strong backlash about the documentary Oprah produced about Michael Jackson, Leaving Neverland.

People accuse Okra and Kale (lolZ) of constantly going after black men and black male celebrities (such as Virgo Suns Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson,etc.) while protecting white male abusers (Pisces Sun Harvey Weinstein) and their problematic behaviors. People see them as more of an enemy towards black men/black male media image and as a symbol of the shady and unsavory nature of Hollywood culture such as the open secret process known as the casting couch.

While Ellen DeGeneres has been roasted on Twitter by some random ass comedian who asked people to share some of their horror stories and experiences with Ellen DeGeneres. The thread included supposed former staff members and people who were around her (like waitress/waitstaff). The gist is that Ellen is fake, cruel, and treats her staff like germ infested underlings that are not good enough to breathe the same air as her. There are stories of Ellen getting people fired, almost fired, and Ellen asking people to not smile, look, or talk to her and sending people home for being "stinky". Other accusations is that Ellen is only "nice" to her celebrity friends and is a cruel bully. Let's not forget the criticism Ellen got when she hanged out with former President Bush at a football game.

Outside of that there has also been rumors for years that Ellen is abusive and controlling over her actress wife, Portia de Rossi. These criticisms are not new (well at least not to me). I heard about Ellen Degenerate (lolz the internet and these shady nicknames) not being so nice.

All this aside getting into astrology, it's interesting to note that both these celebrities are Aquarius Suns. Random but Gayle is a Capricorn Sun with an AQUARIUS MOON.

Aquariuses are some of the most loved Sun Signs of the zodiac. While people love dragging Geminis, Scorpios and Virgos. People LOVE Leos, Aquariuses, and Cancers (honestly interchangeable with Libras, Pisces, and Sagittarius). BUT USA is a Cancer Sun, so bonus points to Cancers. BTW USA also has an Aquarius Moon.

These are the signs that ain't do no wrong even when they do wrong.

Aquariuses are the cool, independent thinking, "down to earth", friendly, unproblematic humanitarian archetypes. People LOVE Jennifer Aniston. People LOVE(d?) Oprah and Ellen. Especially Ellen. I mean Lil B made a song about her.

I think we are in the Age of Aquarius (at the very least it's shadow period and the very very long death of the Age of Pisces), so it makes sense that the world is behaving and reacting more to Aquarian/Uranian/Saturnian energy. We have been so long in Age of Pisces that were are waking up to our own disillusionment and the emotional violence that comes from it. Neptune in Pisces helps with that too.

It's interesting to note that both Ellen and Oprah have Sun conjunct Venus in Aquarius with fire moons. So maybe people have problem with them having an ego. Like they are shocked that these people are not ........ "perfect" ....... "nice" "good" and for "everyman" that they first appeared to be.

Aquarius is opposite to Leo. These are opposite signs but there are similar too. It's just that they use their similarities in opposite ways. What is similar with Leo and Aquariuses are their EGO and how they use their ego. Leo use their ego to draw people to them. Aquarius use their ego to draw people away from them. Personal VS Impersonal/Interpersonal.

To be a celebrity you have to an EGO. It can be a small ego, a decent sized normal ego or a huge EGO. Ego isn't a dirty, bad word, we all have an ego. It's just an Ego can both sustain us and destroy us. That aside Aquarius is said to be a celebrity sign that are most likely to be famous and enjoy the fame. Aquarius are detached enough to not let the stress of fame get to them, are unique enough to stand out and be comfortable enough to stand out, plus Aquarius has a very group oriented mentality, which makes for the perfect celebrity.

Celebrity is a weird concept and is a weird symbiotic relationship between two strangers that has a swinging pendulum of adoration & idolatry; and obsession & hate. Strangers loving on talented strangers they never met. Strangers (with the help of the media) exalted them, defend them, when they don't know who you are. Strangers want  or expect someone who doesn't know them to be accessible and relate-able when they are not. Celebrities like parents are human (cliche i know).

With social media, us underlings can all have a shot of fame. Celebrities are more accessible but we have more of a voice now. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. I mean Super Leo artist Andy Warhol had a concept that "Everyone will have 15 minutes of fame." Like did he predict the future? 

We underlings have been given a voice which one of the water bearer, Age of Aquarius's mission. That aside with are people mad at Oprah and Ellen

- for having an ego?

- being themselves? 

- being apart of a corrupt cluster of systems (exploitative Capitalism, celebrity/fame and Hollywood/media culture).

Aquarius as friendly and conscious as they are, are detached, cold, logical to the point of narcissistic psychopathy and can be very dogmatic and prone to groupthink. This honestly mirrors a lot of the behaviors we have as a society.

BTW I am not defending Ellen or Oprah, they can use their beds of money as a blanket and wipe their asses with gold toilet paper for all I care.

Aquarius archetype can be the off grid Mountain dwelling gun toting antisocial nonconformist rebellious conspiracy theorist that is very anti-government/vax,meat/religion in their Uranus form. 

Or they can also develop into the sociable respectable media darling brainy conformist tech billionaire guru archetype that is very into social Democracy, Science, Tech, sustainability and prestige in their Saturn form. Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus. Aquarius doesn't have to choose between these archetypes (unless they want to) but they can be both and are both. 

Just because Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres are well liked, don't cause drama (that we know of) and are not desperate annoying fame whores doesn't mean they are good (or bad) for that matter. Just because someone is rich, famous and powerful doesn't mean that they are automatically virtuous or bad.

By challenging the status quo and the people up top we are channeling the true spirit of the Age of Aquarius.

Honestly this is more of a reflection of us as a society and culture and the need to question our values in relation to fame, rich people and media and we are easily manipulated and won over by these status markers. Celebrities ARE STRANGERS. We may think we know them but we don't. They are not our friends or saviors. They are here to entertain. They are part of a system. We are part of a system.

I write a lot about pop culture and celebrities in relation to their astrology because they are exalted and famous for a reason. We and the way we response to their personalities and their energies is for a reason. We need to learn from them and take lessons from them. It's a perfect astrology case study and great way to learn, observe astrology in the real world and in relation to our own life and experiences. Celebrities, fame and the wealthy are a mirror and case study of our society and where we are at as a culture and nation.

Overall my point in all of this is that the Age of Aquarius is teaching us to detach, think for ourselves, draw our own conclusions, and to stop giving away our power. We are both the individuals in the community and apart of the community and we have to find a way to navigate between the two.
