2016 was an overall a sucky year. In numerology 2016 (2+0+1+6=9) is a 9 year representing a cycle of completion, endings, death, karma, etc. When things end or in the process of ending, it can be scary and downright traumatic. You know that feeling, whether it's a break up, realizing you are not cut out for something or the 2016 US Presidential Elections. You feel ansty, uneasy, and you are filled with doubt and anxiety. At first you try to avoid it, ignore it but it doesn't go away. Suddenly a defining scary moment happens and you realize ooh shit, this is happening. Endings is a symbol of this scary inevitable thing call change. As humans we see change as evil (a necessary one). This year was hard and scary but necessary. It fucked us (me), but somewhere down the line, we realize that we must grab that big hard rod, force it out of our orifices and take control. Yes we were fucked but in our state oftentimes our post state of fuckery we realize their is an opportunity, a chance to start over.
That's what 2017 represents. In numerology 2017 (2+0+1+7=10 reduced to 1) is a 1 year representing new beginnings. It's a chance to start over. FYI every year is chance to start over. But after that major fuck fest of 2016 there is a surge of urgency to start over and fuck life. This time we have the big hard rod. Not only that but we had that big hard rod all along that we were violently fucking ourselves (well most of the time).
P.S. the number nine in astrology is closely associated with Jupiter and Sagittarius the 9th sign of the zodiac, so there is a philosophical, spiritual approach attached to this year. Aka God wasn't being mean or evil, there is a lesson/purpose to all of this. Btw mercury is in retrograde so we are realizing this shit.
FYI sorry for that graphic description. I have mercury in my 8th House/mercury widely squared Uranus and sometimes (not all the time) I say weird, fucked up shit. It's ok though because it's almost 2017, you'll forgiven me by then. :)
