Mercury in Cancer communicates and think in a Watery/Lunar way. Cancer is a water sign ruled by the Moon. Water signs are the masters of using emotion and intuition. Like its sign counterparts Pisces and Scorpio, Cancer Mercuries think and communicate in typical water sign fashion. This is translates to communicating in emotional, indirect ways. A Cancer mercury person (like other water sign mercury signs) instinctively and naturally feel their way through things in terms of communication. A water mercury, especially Cancer will be able to understand others people emotions well and even possess natural psychic and intuitive abilities.

The moon governs emotions and is at home (dignified) in Cancer. So this is very strong moon placement. Note: the moon is traditionally exalted (best) in Taurus Moon. 

The Cancer moon native is intuitive and a bit psychic (as with the other water signs).  However Cancer moon natives are the most emotionally expressive out of the water moon signs.

Moon in Cancer natives are very family oriented and attached to their family, home and the past. Sentimental, nostalgic, with photographic memory, a moon in Cancer person definitely holds onto feelings and experiences that give them emotional comfort. 

Cancer moon natives want to feel secure and comfortable, so they find ways to get that comfort. This includes attaching themselves into people and situations that give them comfort and emotional support.

From June 22nd-July 22nd, the sun is in the astrological sign of Cancer. Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac and the first water sign among the three water signs (which are Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio). Cancer is ruled by the Moon. The Moon isn’t a planet (by science/scientist standards), but a satellite of Earth. This makes Cancer unlike most of the zodiac signs because it is technically not ruled by a planet. In astrology the moon is treated like/considered a planet (officially it is a luminary) and not only that but one of the most important planets in astrology with the other luminary being the Sun. 

Cancer is ruled by the moon and the moon represents emotions, our emotional natures, instincts and habits. Cancer is a water sign so it shares the characteristics with the other water signs, emotion/emotional, receptive/receptivity, and sensitive/sensitivity.  

Though Cancer has it's own unique characteristics. Cancers are nurturing, protective, and sentimental. Cancers can be moody, clingy, and too attached to the past. Cancer rules over the 4th House. The 4th House represents your childhood, family, childhood/current home, among many other things. This means that family and family history is very, VERY important to Cancer. 

The moon rules Cancer and the moon is feminine energy and represents the mother, so in turn Cancer fits the role of the Archetypal (or stereotypical) 1950s' mother. Cancer has butt-hurt, bitch baby and the emotionally manipulative gene that is attached with all water signs. However it's most prominent with Cancers because Cancer is the most emotionally expressive sign out of the other water signs. You will always know how a Cancer feels because they will always let you know (whether they mean to or not). Cancers being psychic and emotionally expressive makes them experts at emotional manipulation; which is something they may consciously or subconsciously do. Cancers feelings are both a strength and weakness depending on how they use it.

Another downside is if they don’t get their way and their wants & needs are not met, they can sink into themselves and become moody and withdrawn.  It's important to note that Cancer's animal is the crap. Craps have  shells and claws. Cancer's shells are meant to protect themselves. While Cancer's claws are not always meant to pinch but also can be used to attach itself to something. So when Cancers are being not moody/sulky they may do the opposite and attached itself onto others; hence the clinginess.

Cancer is also a cardinal water sign, so they are the Cardinal tribe's Water representative. Note: Cardinal signs are a group of signs that are naturally the leaders, self-starters, and go getters of the zodiac. The cardinal signs of the zodiac are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.

Cancers have a natural talent to be businessman/salesperson, entrepreneurs and hustlers. Cancers like the rest of the Cardinal tribe get things started. A part of the Cancer's innate need to protect their family is to be financially secure. So their need to make money/start a business is oftentimes motivated by their need to be financially secure/protective for their family. So thread lightly.

As a Cardinal water sign, Cancers can also get the ball rolling emotionally in relationships. Cancers can be shy/reserved but naturally they wear their hearts on their sleeves. theastrofiend let's talk: Dear Reader: Where I've Been and New Blog Content Direction.

Dear whoever reads this blog,

I haven't posted in a while. I am making some changes in my blog mostly to elevate the content.

 I don't just want to focus on pop culture and superficial content, but I also want this blog to be used as an educational and reflective tool for astrology too. When I first started writing astrology online 5 years ago I started out on HubPages. I wanted to put my astrology passion and knowledge out there while getting some coin (I was a broke college student back then). I wanted to find a medium where I can write creatively, educate, get money and communicate my love for astrology. I still want to do that.

Problem is I quickly realized that writing on hub pages I was stifled creatively and it also started to turn into a money game. All these rules took away from my writing (word count, making sure the images were not copyrighted so my content can be monetize, etc.).  This is when I started to seriously write on this blog.

In retrospect also during this time I didn't realize I was angry (I was going through a Saturn in Aquarius in the 3rd House transit during this period). I wanted a place to vent, be funny, and express my thoughts/feelings/who I am (in the context of astrology). 

Plus a lot of astrology blogs (in general) are too educational, stuffy and too PC which can honestly make it boring and unrelatable. I wanted to write fun, offbeat content that was a little bit risky and ratchet. There wasn't really anything out there that was like that (random but if you know some ratchet/funny astrology blogs please let me know).

I started this blog so I can curse, use bad grammar without giving a fuck, use whatever images I wanted, and say whatever I felt. I didn't wanted to educate, I mostly wanted to create. Writing these posts made me laugh and thinking about the most craziest things to write really allowed me to flex my creativity and gave me freedom. I felt freedom (and I still do).

Overall now I want to create a balance between ratchetness/pop culture/superficial astrology topics and subjects with ones that a bit more educational, reflective, and deep. I know my content can be seen as vulgar, crass, and ratchet. I honestly have no problem with that and it's still gonna be raw and real. I am a fucking Aries sun conjunct mercury in the 8th fucking house. Ask about me bitch. :D

Regardless my writing is much more than vulgarity, crassness, ratchetness and superficial astrology inspired topics. I am much more than that as writer and I said before I want to elevate my content.

I will be bringing in and incorporating astrolgoy pieces I've written previously on my HubPages site on here. I am proud of these hubs and I wanna show them off. So be on the look out.

Ode to the QUEEN of PISCES Shade: Rihanna

Ever since I started my series I known that the Queen of Pisces Shade would be Rihanna. Rihanna is known for throwing A1, edge snatching shade. Completing my shade series is Pisces Rihanna. Her shade tidbits listed below.

Pisces sun

Other than her Sun, North Node, and Pluto Rihanna doesn’t have much water energy in her chart Even so, despite all of this, as a water sun, she’s naturally emotional, indirect, and sensitive. This is great for shade because water signs can really size someone up and figure out their emotional weak points and sensitives. They know to hit close to home.

Being emotionally tuned in Pisces is messy. Pisces takes you on a journey through their messiness.

Venus & Moon in Aries Conjunct in the 12th house

Rihanna has an abundance of Aries energy with her Moon conjunct Venus in Aries and supposedly an Aries rising. I think Rihanna's shade throwing seems to be out of frustration. She has an abundance of Aries/Fire energy, so she's bold, confident, independent and direct. She’s not afraid to be confrontational and say how she really feel. Aries moon Petty, no behavior and #SAVAGE!!. I mean ask other Aries mooners, Tupac, Remy Ma, Whitney Houston, etc. They are NOT AFRAID TO COME FOR YOU.

People with charts with an abundance of Fire energy especially Aries and Sagittarius don’t really throw shade, they fight (physically) and spar verbally. I mean Rihanna has a song talking about fighting a man (titled: Breaking Dishes). But since she’s in the entertainment industry she got to keep it “classy and politically correct.” If you can’t fuck someone up or call them out directly by NAME; then shade is the way to go. Rihanna probably sees shade as a battle, a fight to be won.

By the way all of this energy is in the 12th House which is important and is very important in shade. When I look for shade I am looking for planets especially planets in retrograde in the 12, 7th, and 8th houses. The 7th and 8th houses have to do with other people while the 12th House is subconscious, unconscious house. 12 House planets are Neptunian in nature, oftentimes don’t have access to that energy or that energy is blurred and murky. A lot of your 12th House qualities and energies are repressed, projected at you or you don’t identify with them. I guess in Rihanna’s case with her Venus and Moon in Aries conjunct in the 12th House, she projects an image of strong, powerful, sexy, and combative (aka don’t fuck with her) energy. She seems to be rocking her bad bitch persona. Or is it all a hoax?

I read somewhere that a lot of people think this Bad girl Ri Ri image is fake and manufactured by the record company. That’s a possibility but perhaps Rihanna is projecting this energy because she doesn’t identify with it or she identifies with it too much? Who really knows???

Mercury and Mars both in the 9th House 

Rihanna Mercury and Mars both in the 9th House. Rihanna has Mercury retrograde in Aquarius and Mars in Sagittarius. The 9th House is about higher education, travel, and beliefs (among many things). To apply this to shade Rihanna has Mercury retrograde in Aquarius and Mercury square Pluto. Her mercury would make her introspective (retrograde). A unique, rebellious, independent and original communicator (Mercury in Aquarius), who is also deep, intense thinker who’s words are dangerous and can hurt (Mercury square Pluto). Rihanna’s shade is akin to a slap on the face. 

Pluto in 7th House

Rihanna has Pluto in 7th House, so she attracts intense, dark, and powerful partners whether in business or pleasure. These relationships she has the potential to destroy her and then transform her. P.S. one of her most famous relationships did just that. She attracts this energy because she also projects this energy. Pluto in the 7th House can be known for shade because Pluto is a dark, indirect and secretive planetary energy. They are not direct in getting what they want.

11th House Stellium

Rihanna has an 11 House Stellium with Sun in Pisces and, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn in Capricorn. She has an abundance of Capricorn/Saturnian energy. Capricorn is not known for shade. But Capricorn is known for class. Sometimes its hard to be classy when people try you or you are angry. So this is where Capricorns can go bad and bougie aka shade. Rihanna’s 11th House stellium helps make her popular and well-received . Rihanna has her tribe (her fans refer to themselves as the Navy). She’s popular which means she has some sort of responsibility which means she can’t curse out or fight everyone, even if she really wants to. This is the crust of the shade pie, partially cuss Capricorns are crusty (JK :D) but really because Capricorns are all about appearances and impressions they want to make. Rihanna with all this abundance of Capricorn energy naturally controls herself.

Rihanna has a perfect mixture of Fire, Water, and a bit of Air; which is the perfect shade recipe for shade. Mix all of this with that Caribbean attitude and the natural jaded-ness associated with fame/being a public figure, and that’s what make Rihanna a zodiac shade connoisseurs (along with Mariah Carey, Prince , etc.)

Pisces Prince of the Scorpio Generation: Justin Bieber

Closing out my Prince/Princess of Insert Sign Here Generation series, is the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces. This one goes to Justin Bieber.

I was going to go for Steve Jobs because he’s Pisces and he revolutionize the computer, music, and technology industry which is VERY IMPORTANT for the Pluto in Scorpio Generation.

But I am going with Justin Bieber partly because he’s a part of the Pluto in Scorpio Generation so he understands our motivations, dreams, values and philosophies. Mostly because he is extremely popular and famous.

I am going to make this quick because I've been working on this post on and off for a while. The image below is a screenshot of his planets.

In his chart a couple of things stand out to me

Stellium in Pisces
He has a stellium in Pisces that includes Sun, Venus, and Saturn in Pisces. So his ego/basic personality (Sun), his artistic sensibilities, the way he loves and acts in relationship (Venus), and the way he handles responsibilities and create boundaries (Saturn) is very Pisces/Neptunian.

He seems to both suffer and be saved by big public scrutiny and drama. Nothing sticks to Pisces. Like a fog or mist, it goes through them, maybe leaving droplets of water that is absorbed and evaporated. He's like a marshmallow through a stick in a never ending camp fire.

This means he's sensitive and very adaptive which is a very good survival trait for Pluto in Scorpio Generation. Seeing his public struggles allows the public to self-reflect but also to hopefully sympathize with him.

It's popular to be a bandwagon hater or just plain ol' regular hater of Justin Bieber. This is with good reason but is it completely justified? I known he's fucked up and made a lot of mistakes. But who hasn't.

Not making excuses for him but he like most celebrities are a reflection of society and Western culture. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac they take pieces and lessons from each sign, each season, each planet, and each energy.

Being young, extremely rich, famous is nothing special but being all that and Pisces is. The lessons of not only earthly things like society's values, Western pop/entertainment culture, and the spiritual and cosmic realm is placed on the backs and feet of Pisces.

Mercury conjunct Mars in Aquarius RX
Justin's Mercury conjunct Mars in Aquarius both retrograde. The story of how Justin Bieber became famous is very Aquarian. Justin Bieber’s rags to riches fame story is interesting and quite prophetic. He posted videos of himself singing on YouTube. This isn’t so crazy now, but back then YouTube wasn’t what it is now. Baby YouTube was a bunch of creative weirdo nobodies who didn’t post for ad money and brand deals (because back then that shit didn’t exist).

Also the internet was still a bit scary back then, a lot of people didn’t trust the internet and wanted to protect their identities and privacy. People still don’t but back then it was more accepted to be apprehensive about the internet. Now you can't avoid technology and internet.

Anyway Bieber used an Age of Aquarius tool (technology, the internet) to share his talent and dreams with the world. Justin was ahead of his time. With his Mercury conjunct Mars in Aquarius Retrograde he was able to use his mind/voice (mercury) to express and go after (action: Mars) his dreams.

The internet/technology is very Aquarian and a great equalizer. As long as you have access to the internet/technology, you can virtually do anything as long as you have discipline, vision, and motivation to do it. Justin Bieber recognized this and members of the Pluto in Scorpio generation have and are recognizing this too.

Scorpio stelliums are very polarizing. This can partially explain why Justin Bieber is hated and so polarizing. North Node Retrograde in Scorpio is the most interesting because he's going down a dark, mysterious path. That is his soul's journey. This probably the main reason why Justin Bieber hasn't had a major breakdown.

He secretly loves being asshole-ish. This gives him a chance to first act out his his Scorpio/Plutonian destruct/destroy/transform cycle, his Aquarius rebel-ish detachment mode challenge and Pisces martyrdom syndrome  all at once. He's testing out his parts.

Regardless one thing to note with Scorpio North Node is to know how to go down the path of darkness without succumbing to it. It can easily become a game. Random but I did a post on Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel. He also has a Scorpio North Node and right now he is in prison with a murder charge. There is much more to Vybz and his chart but this placement sticks out to me.

Regardless back to Justin Bieber. His lesson for the Scorpio generation and to the world is to learn how to dig deep into yourself and to stare into the abyss without having the abyss stare back at you. AKA don't fuck yo life up Nietzsche vybz.

One last thing to remember about Pisces is with Pisces energy they are extremely messy and have to fuck shit up sometimes (consciously, unconsciously, and subconsciously) just to remind the world, the universe, and themselves that we are all going to die. I know this is a bit weird.

Random but Justin is going through his Jupiter return and has been really deep into religion/spirituality. This is a time where him and other 24 year old will receive personal, spiritual, and perhaps financial abundance if they seek it.

SZA: R & B’s Super Scorpio Sweetheart

SZA is one of the hottest R & B singers out right now. Though she’s been around for years and is considered the first lady of Top Dawg Entertainment (the record label who includes rapper Kendrick Lamar on it’s roster). She popped off with her new album, CTRL and her song Drew Barrymore.

SZA was raised in a half Christian half Muslim household (her mom’s Christian and her dad’s Muslim). She wore a hijab for some parts of her life and her stage name is from Islam’s Supreme Alphabet (like Wu Tang Clan’s rapper, RZA).

Sun, Venus, Mercury, Pluto, Lilith all conjunct in Scorpio

SZA has Sun, Venus, Mercury, Pluto, and Lilith all conjunct in Scorpio. FYI Lilith is retrograde. She is SUPER SCORPIO PLUTONIAN AND INTENSE. It’s interesting and so astro-synchronicity Scorpio that she named her album, CTRL. CTRL is the standard computer keyboard key function for control). She strives for control but knows it’s an illusion (don’t we all). She’s very self-aware and reflective in her lyrics. Just listen to Drew Barrymore and the Weekend. In the Weekend is singing about sharing a man with a woman (she’s the side chick). That’s some interesting, semi fucked up situation and feelings being expressed.

Moon & Jupiter conjunct in Leo

For someone with such heavy Scorpio in her chart, she doesn’t really come off that way. She has a strange, vulnerability, child-like innocence, and softness about her that Scorpio naturally doesn’t have.

I think this is because she has Moon conjunct Jupiter in Leo. She’s too expressive, goofy, and happy (on the surface of course) for her STRONG ASS SCORPIO ENERGY. She may be INTENSE, PASSIONATE, A LITTE BAT SHIT CRAZY IN HER INNERWORLD (AND I KNOW SHE IS). But on surface for the publics.

Leo moons wants everyone to love them, kind, generous, a little attention seeking, but have good hearts. Especially with Jupiter conjunct her Moon, she’s probably annoyingly optimistic and attention seeking.

Mars in Gemini Retrograde

This also explains why she doesn’t act very Scorpio. I watched several interviews and watched that mini documentary on her on YouTube. She’s very expressive and open and kinda self-snitched/made herself look bad/petty (admitting in an Breakfast Club interview that she cheated/messed with one of exes’ homeboys as revenge). She’s awkward and adorable. Mars in Gemini is probably a little crazy and petty with a wild/disrespectful mouth. Having Gemini in one’s chart is a blessing and a curse.

When you have Gemini in your chart, you are a wordsmith and encompassed all the intricacies of human emotions. Now add Scorpio in there with the Gemini and you are an intuitive emotive wordsmith that feels, the feels for real real.

Saturn, Uranus, Neptune in Capricorn

SZA has Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in Capricorn. This can explain her want to wanting to control things. Especially the Uranus and Neptune part, it’s a generational planet FYI a lot of people in the Pluto in Scorpio Generation has Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn.

SZA rebelliously (Uranus), spiritually & creatively (Neptune) wants to control things. This isn’t a bad or negative thing. Especially with her Saturn in Capricorn she has the discipline and resolve to actually make these things happen.

One thing to note SZA recently celebrated her 27^th birthday so she is entering her Saturn Return. This year will be painful, revealing, fulfilling but ultimately fruitful in the long run.

UPDATE: Apparently SZA revealed a couple of years back that she's a Scorpio with a Pisces Moon. Astrotheme apparently changed her moon sign since the last time I wrote this on November 16th. 

It makes sense, I can definitely see Pisces moon, she seems a bit more open, vulnerable, and messier than a Super Scorpio. I am still undecided and skeptical one because in show biz people oftentimes lie about their age **cough cough Mariah cough***). Second because there is conflicting information as you can see by the research/evidence I've included below.
